Symbiosis Institute of Business Management - SIBM, Bengaluru Symbiosis Institute Of Business Management (SIBM) Bengaluru is a part of Symbiosis International University, one of the leading universities in India.

Ever since its inception in 1971, SYMBIOSIS has been synonymous with progress. Symbiosis has spread its wings by establishing the first outside Maharashtra campus, in Bengaluru in the year 2008. SIBM Bengaluru has just in a couple of years of its establishment, of course with the full support and guidance of the eminent Board of Management and the Symbiosis Society, carved out a niche for itself.

The focus, now, is on matching global standards of management education. Bengaluru is at the forefront of globalization, and SIBM-B is perfectly poised to cater to the confluence of the east and the west. SIBM Bengaluru was honoured to be part of the Khelo India Dialogue, a powerful platform celebrating India’s sporting spirit and the nation’s vision for a stronger sporting ecosystem.

The event featured a virtual address by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, along with insights from Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, esteemed Union Ministers, Members of Parliament, and distinguished personalities. Ms. Sargam Naik, Liaison Officer, and Mr. Sharath Gaikwad, Paralympian, shared their perspectives and inspiring sporting journey, adding to the significance of the occasion.

The event also celebrated and honoured national-level sports achievers for their remarkable accomplishments, inspiring young minds to pursue excellence, embrace the spirit of sportsmanship, and contribute to India’s growing sporting legacy.

We were pleased to host Ms. Nupur Sharma, Head – Channel Segment & Strategy at Kotak Mahindra Bank, for an insightful session on the evolving landscape of banking and financial services. With over 24 years of experience across Kotak Mahindra Bank and ICICI Bank, she shared valuable perspectives on product strategy, distribution, customer behaviour, and business growth.

The session highlighted the digital transformation of the finance industry, including the evolution of UPI and its impact on the way consumers interact with financial services. Ms. Sharma also discussed the changing Indian consumer, emphasising the need for financial institutions to continuously adapt to evolving expectations. She further shed light on how the geopolitical landscape influences the banking and finance industry, shaping business strategies, market dynamics, and growth opportunities.

The interaction offered practical, industry-grounded perspectives, enabling students to better understand the intersection of technology, consumer behaviour, strategy, and financial services. We were pleased to host Mr. Pratik Tale, Vice President at Kotak Mahindra Bank, for an insightful session on navigating career choices and understanding the evolving expectations of the corporate world. With experience across Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank, and Tata Motors, along with his background as an alumnus of SCMHRD, he shared valuable perspectives from his diverse professional journey.

The session highlighted the importance of building a cross functional understanding of business, with discussions around strategy, transformation, product development, marketing, and data analytics. Mr. Tale also emphasised the value of combining analytical thinking with practical ex*****on, while encouraging students to remain adaptable and open to opportunities across functions and industries.
