18th May – “बर' बिजों सान” (Boro Medium Day) was observed with great enthusiasm and reverence at Mushalpur College in the presence of teachers and students.

As part of the programme, the ceremonial flag hoisting was conducted by Mrs. Maidangsri Brahma, Assistant Professor, Mushalpur College. And paid insightful speech among the students.

The occasion was followed by a solemn homage to the martyrs, graced by Dr. Ajwli Basumatary, PGT, Mushalpur Senior Secondary School, Mushalpur, who paid tribute to the pioneers and contributors of the Boro language movement.

The observance served as a meaningful reminder of the rich heritage, identity, and struggles associated with the growth and recognition of Boro as a medium of education. The day inspired everyone to uphold and promote the language and culture for future generations.

The internship program for a group of FYUGP 4th Semester students of Mushalpur College was successfully conducted at Integrated Textile Park, Kharuajan, Baksa under the mentorship of Mr. Hemanta Kr. Baro and Mr. Haridhan Boro, Assistant Professors.

We hope that the students gained valuable knowledge and hands-on experience regarding the integration of modern technology in weaving and designing, and understood its significance in generating livelihood and income opportunities.

We are sincerely grateful for the dedication and guidance of the mentors, as well as to the authorities of Integrated Textile Park, Kharuajan, Baksa for providing such an excellent opportunity for our students to learn and enhance their practical skills.

A group of students from FYUGP 4th Semester of Mushalpur College has been engaged in the Internship Course (2 Credits) under the provisions of NEP 2020 at the Handloom Training Centre, Mushalpur, Baksa, BTC. During the internship programme, the students received hands-on training and practical exposure in various methods of weaving, including both traditional techniques and the integration of modern technology in handloom practices.

The internship programme was conducted under the mentorship and guidance of Mrs. Pranita Das, Miss Tarali Sutradhar, and Ms. Bibari Baro, Assistant Professors of Mushalpur College.
