Under the guidance of Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal), the Greenies-Eco Club and Red Ribbon Club of SSD Women's Institute of Technology organized various environmental activities to promote awareness about nature conservation and eco-friendly practices among students and staff members.
As part of the activities, both clubs planted different kind of saplings in the campus to make the environment greener and healthier. Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal) distributed plants to the teachers to encourage tree plantation at homes and nearby surroundings.
To take care of birds during the summer season, bird feeders were hung at different places in the campus so that birds could easily get food and water. In another initiative, the college garden was covered with a green shade sheet to protect plants from excessive heat and to maintain greenery in the campus.
The activities were conducted enthusiastically under the guidance of the Eco Club coordinators- Dr. Monika Bansal (Nodal Officer) and Ms. Mannu kartiki (Assistant Professor, Comp Sci). Adv Sanjay Goyal (President), Mr. Ashutosh Chander (Secretary) and Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal) appreciated their efforts for this nobal initiative.

“ यादें Reloaded ” a vibrant and heartfelt farewell party was organised on 30th April at SSD Women's Institute of Technology, Bathinda . Junior batches bid a grand adieu to the final year students of MBA, MCA , BBA and BCA .
The party began with a floral welcome of Mrs. Kiran Goyal, Mrs.Shaheena Chander and Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal,SSDWIT ). As per our usual practice, the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony was performed followed by Aashirvaad ceremony to bless the students of outgoing classes.
Students enthralled the audience with energetic dance performance,ramp walk and cultural showcases that captured the spirit of their journey at SSDWIT. On the basis of different rounds of Ramp walk many title were given . Ms. Muskan Verma( BCA III) won the title of Miss Farewell, Ms.Deepali (BCA-III) was 1st Runner Up, Ms. Kashish (BCA-III) was 2nd Runner Up, Ms. Harman (BCA III) was Miss Fashionista and Ms.Kajal (BCA-III) was Miss Adorable Aura.
Dr. Neeru Garg inspired the outgoing students by her words of wisdom and urged them to carry the values of the institute into their professional lives. She also thanked the distinguished guests for their presence.
Senior students presented compliments to their teachers to express gratitude for their dedication and guidance This day was a Fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce about the joyous moments.

Under the guidance of Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal), the Greenies Eco Club of SSD Women’s Institute of Technology, Bathinda, celebrated World Earth Day with great enthusiasm and environmental consciousness on April 22, 2026. The event aimed to promote awareness about environmental protection and sustainable living among students.
An insightful awareness session was conducted by Ms. Samridhi, (Assistant Professor in English) . She highlighted the urgent need to adopt eco-friendly practices in daily life and encouraged students to become responsible citizens committed to safeguarding the environment.
To mark the occasion, various activities such as poster making and slogan writing competitions were also organized. Students actively participated and presented creative ideas and powerful messages focusing on issues like save water, pollution control, no use of plastic etc. The competitions were judged by Dr. Neetu Goyal, (Head, Department of Management) , and Ms. Manisha Bhatnagar, (Head, Department of Computer Science) .

S. S. D Group of Girls’ Colleges held a convocation on 18th April 2026. Dr. Jagdeep Singh ( Hon'ble Vice - Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala) graced this occasion with his presence as a Chief Guest and presided over the function. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, the Guest of Honour Dr. Vijay Sharma (Registrar, Central University of Punjab), Sh. Abhey Singla ( Sabha, President), Adv. Sanjay Goyal ( President , SSD group of Girls’ Colleges), Sh. Vikas Garg (Gen. Secretary, SSDGC) and Dr. Neeru Garg ( Principal , SSDWIT & SSDGC). College President introduced the Chief Guest. Dr. Neeru Garg extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests. She also highlighted the achievements of college through her annual report . The convocation was declared opened by Dr. Neeru Garg. 295 Students of the three colleges (session 2023 and 2024) received degrees in this convocation including 4 Gold medals (academic excellence). The Chief Guest delivered a convocation address. All congratulated and appreciated the students for their whole hearted hard work and dedication. A formal Vote of Thanks was extended by Dr. Bimla Sahu (Off.Principal, SSDGCE). Convocation concluded with recitation of the National Anthem.

Under the able guidance of Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal), Institution's Innovation council of SSD Girls’ College in collaboration with SSDWIT organized Expert talk on Health Issues on 15-04-2026. Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal) welcomed the esteemed guests with beautiful planters. The resource persons of this session were from Bathinda Max Super Speciality Hospital specialist Dr. Neha Gupta (Medical Oncologist) & Dr. Anu Gupta (Dermatologist). Mr. Robin (Marketing Manager, Max Healthcare, Bathinda) and Ms. Ritu (Financial councilor from RBI). The talk covered important health topics including HPV Vaccination and Breast Cancer Awareness, as well as common dermatological concerns such as Acne, Psoriasis, Seborrheric Eczema and Melasma, with the objective of promoting preventive healthcare and early detection.
The event was successfully conducted with the co-operation of the IIC team members Dr. Monika Bansal (Associate Professor Computer Science), Mrs. Madhu Bala (Assistant Professor Commerce), Dr. Shaveta(Assistant Professor Management) and Mrs. Surinder Kaur. At the end of the session, Dr. Monika Bansal thanked all the guests. Adv. Sh. Sanjay Goyal (President, SSDGGC), Sh. Vikas Garg (Secretary, SSDGC), Sh. Ashutosh Chander (Secretary, SSDWIT) and Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal) appreciated the efforts put by Institution's Innovation Council coordinators for successfully organising this expert talk.

Under the able guidance of Dr. Neeru Garg (Principal) ,Institution's Innovation council of SSD Girls’ College in collaboration with SSDWIT organized an activity on 06-04-2026. The activity was titled as“ Presentation on Innovative business Ideas .” Many students participated enthusiastically and presented their innovative business ideas through PowerPoint presentations.
The event was successfully conducted with the cooperation of the IIC team members Mrs. Madhu Bala (Vice President, IIC-SSDGC), Dr. Shaveta (Convener, IIC-SSDWIT), and Mrs. Surinder Kaur (Member, IIC-SSDGC). The Principal Madam appreciated the efforts of the students and motivated them. At the end of the event, certificates were distributed to all participants as a token of encouragement.Adv. Sh.
