With the success of BitsToBytes( https://bitstobytes.in/ ), the programming club of GEC Bhavnagar, now it is the time to welcome and foster more student communities.

Students are working hard on creating proposals around various club ideas right now. And they are welcome to propose technical as well as non-technical clubs. It would be nice if some of the alumni can help them in the process. Such alumni are also welcome to serve in the role of an alumni advisor and continue mentoring the students when the club is formed. Greetings Everyone,

I am Ravishankar Joshi, a former student from Bhavnagar (till 12th standard). I studied Computer Science from BITS Pilani, Goa campus. While studying at BITS Goa, I interned at Google and got placed into Uber. I did competitive coding in college, and reached a maximum rating of 5 stars on CodeChef, and also went to ACM ICPC regionals twice. I did a few projects and online courses on topics ranging from Android and web development to parallel/distributed computing.

I would mostly talk about these topics:

I am Komal, Assistant Professor at LJ college of Engineering Ahmedabad. I have pursued my Mtech from LD college of engineering in the field of Machine Learning. I have working experience as a Teaching Assistant at LD College of Ahmedabad and at Ahmedabad University as well. I have completed my BE in CS (in 2016) from GEC Bhavnagar. It will be fun interacting with you guys as I always look out for the young and enthusiastic software which could be programmed through innovative ways of Intelligence.

Hello Everyone,

I'm Rohan, currently pursuing M.Tech in Machine Intelligence at DAIICT and interning at FactSet Research Systems (Hyderabad) as a Machine Learning Engineer. I am a B.E in CS (2017) passout from GEC Bhavnagar. It will be fun interacting with students from my alma mater.

I will be talking about getting started with Machine Learning and how to establish a career as an ML engineer. I will also share my experience of working on real-world Machine Learning projects at FactSet which is one of the largest Financial Data and Software companies in the world.

I have been doing job searching and appearing for placements last year. I have interviewed with some of the famous companies like Oracle, Media.net, and Endurance. I've also appeared for the placement process of companies like Amazon, Samsung, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs. I've also tried and succeeded in job hunting off-campus. So I've got many things to share with you and guide you in your placement preparations. I want to tell you about how to make an impressive resume, how to prepare for online coding rounds and ultimately crack the coding and machine learning interviews.
