Congratulations Dr. Samantaray!!

Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited has established the OPTCL Chair Professor at IIT Bhubaneswar. Dr. S R Samantaray from the School of Electrical Sciences has been selected for the same. This establishment aims to solve various technical challenges of OPTCL and will thrust to establish a Center of Excellence in "Smartgrid and Sustainable Energy" to support power utilities. Further, state-of-the-art power equipment "Testing Laboratory" will be planned in the state of Odisha to cater to the need of the state as well as other nearby states.

Congratulations, Manas Sial !!

Mr. Manas is an Electrical Engineering Research Scholar from the School of Electrical Sciences IIT Bhubaneswar got the first prize in the poster presentation competition. The competition was conducted on the eve of National Science Day 2022 and the institute's 12th Research Scholars' Day. A few other scholars from the School also actively participated in the poster presentations.

IIT Bhubaneswar celebrated its 14th Foundation Day on 12th February 2022. Dr. Rajagopala Chidambaram, DAE Homi Bhabha Chair Professor, former Principal Scientific Adviser to Government of India, and former Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission, graced the celebration and delivered an outstanding Foundation Day lecture on "Achievements in Indian Science & Technology: Raman Effect to Nuclear Power." Prof Dhanush Dhari Misra, Former Chairman BOG, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, graced as the Guest of Honour on this occasion.

On this occasion, Prof. R.V. Raja Kumar, Director, felicitated the faculty staff and students with outstanding performance for excellence in teaching, institute, and student services.
