A health camp was successfully organized at Turintira village, Balipatna, Khordha on December 9-10, 2024 with active participation Capital Academy of Nursing students.
The camp was held under the NRHM banner and in collaboration with Mitrashakti Charitable Trust, aimed to promote health awareness and provide basic medical assistance to nearby villagers.

Dr. Srikanta Behera, MD, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The Sarapaancha, PO, CHO of Turintira Village, Balipatna, arranged the entire program.

Key highlights of the camp include:

- *Free Health Services* : Free medicines were distributed to patients based on doctor prescriptions.
- *Health Screening Tests*: Various tests were conducted to promote early detection.
- *Counseling and Health Advice*: Volunteers played a vital role in counseling villagers on maintaining a hygienic atmosphere and offering valuable health advice.
- *Beneficiaries*: A total of 80 villagers attended the camp and benefitted from the services.

The health camp was a significant step towards promoting health awareness and providing medical assistance to those in need.

Independence Day Celebrations at Capital Academy of Nursing, Manjari Devi College of Nursing, and Manjari Devi Public School!

We were honored to have Sj. Pradosh Patnaik, a renowned journalist, columnist, and social activist, as our Chief Guest, along with Smt. Jyotsna Das, Chairman of Capital Academy of Nursing.

The flag-hosting ceremony was proudly conducted by our esteemed guest, followed by the national song. Our talented students showcased their skills through cultural events, and Ms. Nikita of 4th semester, who was awarded the best performer during Breastfeeding Week celebrations, was felicitated by our guests.

- Interactive role-plays highlighted the importance of breastfeeding support, challenging us to do better.

DAY 5

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed Chairperson, Ms. Soumya Sulagna Pattanaik and insightful Speaker, M.sc Nursing students of Paediatric Department of Nursing for making our seminar on "An Interdisciplinary Collaboration: In Creating a Breastfeeding-Friendly Society" a resounding success!

Day 3 of World Breastfeeding Week celebrations was a day of eloquence and expression!

We hosted an Essay Competition and Public Speaking event, where participants shared their thoughts and ideas 💡

The essays were thought-provoking and insightful, highlighting the benefits of breastfeeding for mothers, babies, and society as a whole.

The public speaking session was a showcase of confidence and passion, as participants spoke from the heart about their experiences and perspectives on breastfeeding.

Day 2 of World Breastfeeding Week celebrations was a vibrant and melodious one!

Our talented students participated in a stunning Rangoli competition, creating beautiful designs that represented the theme of breastfeeding. The colors and creativity on display were truly impressive!

But that's not all - we also had a soulful Song competition, where students sang their hearts out to express the importance of breastfeeding and mother's love. The performances were heartfelt and moving!
