A proud and memorable moment for our college!
Our respected Principal,Dr.Tabassum Irshad, who is truly an epitome of inspiration,dedication, and motivation in the nursing profession, was recently invited by Paras Hospital Srinagar to inspire and motivate nurses to provide compassionate, patient-centered care with utmost dedication and professionalism.
During her interaction with the nursing staff, she emphasized the true essence of nursing as a noble profession devoted to humanity, kindness, empathy, and selfless service. Her inspiring words and valuable guidance encouraged the nurses to continue serving patients with compassion, commitment, and excellence.
Dr. Tabassum Irshad had earlier been honored with the prestigious National Florence Nightingale Award in the year 2024, presented by the Hon’ble Droupadi Murmu, in recognition of her exceptional contribution and dedicated service to the nursing profession.
Her remarkable achievements and continued contributions to healthcare and nursing education are a matter of immense pride and honor for our entire college. She continues to inspire students, nurses, and healthcare professionals through her dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence.

Celebrated at SET Paramedical and
Nursing College
SET Paramedical and Nursing
College celebrated International
Nurses Day with great enthusiasm and respect for the nursing profession. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Mehmooda Regu, Principal of Haneefa College of Nursing,
Sopore. The Guests of Honour were DYSP Sohail Ahmad Wani, DYSP Headquarters
Anantnag and Mr. Basharat, Clinical Incharge District Hospital Kulgam.
The programme commenced with the Tilawat of the Holy Quran, creating a spiritual and dignified atmosphere. This was followed by a warm welcome address delivered hv the Princinal of SFT Paramedical and Nursing Institute, Dr. Tabassum Irshad, who welcomed the guests and participants.
The guests were felicitated as a mark of respect and appreciation.
The event became even more inspiring with a heartfelt tribute to Florence Nightingale presented by Miss Ritat Akram. Following this, Miss Aneesa Bashir unveiled the
International Nurses Day theme for the year 2026.
Guest of Honour Mr. Basharat addressed the gathering and appreciated the dedication and service of nurses. DYSP Sohail Ahmad Wani also spoke on the occasion and created awareness about the Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign.
One of the most beautiful and
symbolic moments of the programme was the lamp-lighting
