Vira College of Engineering – Bijnor is approved by A.I.C.T.E, New Delhi. Vira College of Engineering – Bijnor has been established by Vira Charitable Society Dharamnagri, Bijnor, An educational Society which is devoted to the cause of spreading education in the area and established about a dozen Institutions from nursery level to post graduate level, both for boys and girls. Vira College of Engineering – Bijnor is a further step taken by the Society in the field of higher technology filled with the aim of preparing the youth of the State for the challenges of 21st century. It is duly approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh, and is affiliated to U P Technical University, Lucknow. Vira College of Engineering – Bijnor is situated in an ideal environment, away from the hustle & bustle and pollution of the City. The beautiful natural surroundings are laced with greenery all around, with tall trees in abundance providing pollution-free healthy environment. The students play and study in the midst of nature, oblivious of the hectic life of the town. the founder President of the Society was a distinguished Civil Servant of the Country. He made his remark not only as worthy administrator during his tenure as the Cabinet Secretary to the Government of India and Governor of three states one after the other, but also an eminent educationist and was actively associated with several educational Institutions of high repute. He was the worthy son of a worthy father, (Late) Raja Jwala Prasad, the first Indian Chief Engineer in the British Regime, and to whom goes the credit of initiating several irrigation schemes of U.P. Raja Sahib devoted fifteen years of his life to BHU, first in building the campus and later serving it as its Pro Vice Chancellor. The first Secretary of Vira College of Engineering – Bijnor was Kunwar Satya Vira, the youngest son of late Raja Jwala Prasad and former Minister of State for Technical Education, U.P. Being a great educationist himself; he had a passion of imparting quality education to the students in every field of studies. After his demise at the age of 92, his youngest son Shri Udayan Vira, who is a social reformer, farmer and educationist, took the reins in his hand as Secretary. Vira College of Engineering – Bijnor is located in Meerut Road, Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. Vira College of Engineering – Bijnor offers different Kind of Undergraduate courses. Undergraduate courses such as Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication Engineering. The vast Campus of Vira College of Engineering – Bijnor spreading over 10 acres of land near the city is complete with all infrastructures developed for imparting high level of Technical education up to Degree level and catering to the present needs of Multinational Industries. Laboratories of Vira College of Engineering – Bijnor is completely fulfils the practical requirements zas per the A.I.C.T.E. Technical University curriculum. Sports of Vira College of Engineering – Bijnor is a spacious playground Measuring 12000 sq. meters for different sport activities and games like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Volleyball, Lawn Tennis, Basket ball, T.T. Vira College of Engineering – Bijnor also organizes state level sports activities like FOOTBALL MAINIA in which many teams of other Colleges of Uttar Pradesh like S.R.M.S., Bareilly, K.N. Modi Modinagar, Graphicora Dehradun, B.I.T. Bhagwantpuram, Muzaffarnagar etc. participates. Also the student of our College participates in sports activities organized by various other Colleges of Uttar Pradesh and the Intra Sports Meet organized by Vira Charitable Society, every year. The District Nehru Stadium opposite to Vira College of Engineering – Bijnor is also being utilized by the students for Badminton, T.T., Basket Ball and Swimming. There, the facilities of experts coach are also available to the students.
