11 June 2026: A Road Safety Awareness Program was successfully organized today at Birjhora Mahavidyalaya (The Constituent College and Science Campus of Bongaigaon University) in collaboration with the Bongaigaon Police Station. The event aimed to sensitize our students about traffic regulations and safe driving habits. The program commenced with an insightful inaugural address by the Honorable Principal, Dr. Chinmoy Bhattacharjee, who highlighted the role of youth in fostering a culture of road safety. Resource Person of the Program, Inspector Mr. Chandan Goswami, Officer-in-Charge of Bongaigaon Police Station, delivered the keynote lecture. In his address, Mr. Goswami emphasized the critical importance of safe driving practices, strict adherence to traffic rules, and the necessity of responsible behavior on public roads to prevent accidents. The lecture was followed by an active interactive session where students raised queries and discussed various road safety challenges with the police official. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks offered by Dr. Dilip Kumar Roy, Coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), who thanked the guests, and participants for making the program a success.
