The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is one of the five departments at Supreme Knowledge Foundation Group of Institutions, Mankundu, Hooghly, West Bengal. It administers bachelor's programs in Computer Science and in Computer Engineering, as well as master's and doctoral degree programs in Computer Science and Engineering. About 18 full-time faculty members provide a comprehens
ive program that emphasizes algorithms and theory, advanced computer architecture, computer vision and pattern recognition, data mining and machine learning, distributed systems and grid computing, operating systems and computer networks, computer security, and scientific computing. The vision of CSE department is to emerge as a world class technology department through education, innovation and collaborative research. The CSE department's many strengths include its state of the art facilities, faculties, strong focus on undergraduate education balanced with leading-edge research, and emphasis on leadership, service, and ethics. In addition to the excellent faculty and quality research opportunities available through the department, there is a real sense of community and teamwork here. The department has progressed with a strong commitment to developing competent programmers with uncompromising standard of excellence in the training, both class room sessions and hands on sessions, given to students. The department has well equipped computing laboratories along with a repository of software covering a wide spectrum of applications. Graduates from this department often take up careers in the computing industry, the finance industry, traditional large engineering companies, startup companies, management consulting companies, medicial informatics companies, and government offices. Some of our undergraduates each year enter their Master Degree program in Computer Science and Engineering at leading universities around the country.
