GGDSD College conducts workshop on “AI and I4.0 Tools for Innovators and Entrepreneurs”

Chandigarh: February 24, 2026: The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of GGDSD College, Sector-32, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Post Graduate Department of Computer Science and Applications, successfully organized the workshop “AI and I4.0 Tools for Innovators and Entrepreneurs” on February 24, 2026. The workshop aimed to acquaint students and aspiring entrepreneurs with emerging Artificial Intelligence technologies and Industry 4.0 tools, highlighting their transformative impact on innovation, startups, and modern industries.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Ajay Sharma, Principal, GGDSD College and Dr. Rina, Head of the department with a green welcome to the speakers Mr. Puneet Jindal, Founder and CEO of Labellerr AI and Mr. Sarthak Bhardwaj, Specialist in AI Automation at Labellerr AI.

Mr. Jindal, a visionary entrepreneur, whose venture, Labellerr, provides the critical data infrastructure for AI giants like Toyota AI and Volvo, as well as, researchers at Stanford and UC Davis. He shared valuable perspectives on implementing AI solutions in real-world business environments. Adding a strong experiential component to the workshop, Mr. Sarthak Bardwaj conducted a live project demonstration illustrating the use of Artificial Intelligence in autonomous systems.

The event was seamlessly coordinated by the Convenor Dr. Vikram Sagar, Organising Secretary Dr. Rina, and Innovation Ambassador Dr. Archana Goyal. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Rina, who expressed her sincere appreciation to the resource person, the organizing team, and the student volunteers for their dedicated efforts in ensuring the success of the workshop.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across diverse academic disciplines. GGDSD College conducts workshop on “AI and Innovation Sprints: Rapid Prototyping for Digital Transformation”

Chandigarh: February 12, 2026: The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of GGDSD College, Sector-32, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Post Graduate Department of Computer Science and Applications, successfully organized the workshop “AI and Innovation Sprints : Rapid Prototyping for Digital Transformation” on February 12, 2026. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Ajay Sharma, Principal, GGDSD College and Dr. Rina, Head of the department with a green welcome to the speaker Dr. Ravinder Singh, Head of the Digital and Systems Team, Cabinet Office, Government Commercial Function, UK Civil Services.

Dr. Ravinder, a distinguished leader in Digital Transformation known for leading large-scale programmes with budgets up to £1.5 billion. His expertise spans Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, RPA, Quantum Computing, and Cybersecurity.

The session highlighted the importance of using technology as an enabling tool rather than becoming dependent on it. The esteemed speaker encouraged students to adopt critical thinking and make informed decisions instead of accepting information at face value.

Dr. Ravinder emphasized the role of innovation and design thinking in addressing real-world challenges, stating that innovation distinguishes a leader from a follower. He underlined the significance of effective problem identification, creative solution development, and practical validation.

Through relevant case examples, he highlighted the importance of overcoming challenges through continuous feedback and adaptability, while emphasizing the growing role of artificial intelligence in driving digital transformation.

GGDSD College conducts workshop on “Build with Meander – From Concepts to Real World Intelligence” under IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026

Chandigarh: February 3, 2026: The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of GGDSD College, Sector-32, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Post Graduate Department of Computer Science and Applications, successfully organized the workshop “Build with Meander – From Concepts to Real World Intelligence” on February 3, 2026, as part of the IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Ajay Sharma, Principal, GGDSD College and Dr. Rina, Head of the department. The event began with a green welcome of the speaker Dr. Sandeep Srivastava, Founder, Meander Software Pvt. Ltd in the presence of faculty members and students, with the objective of fostering innovation, technological thinking, and entrepreneurial mindset among youth. The event aimed to foster innovation, technological thinking, and an entrepreneurial mindset among the youth.

Dr. Srivastava shared insights drawn from over twenty years of industry experience. He engaged over 50 students and young professionals through interactive discussions and hands-on demonstrations covering Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), Global Digital Systems (GDS), Artificial Intelligence, digital assets, and application development, effectively connecting academic concepts with real-world industry applications.

During the IndiaAI Impact Summit talk, Dr. Srivastava explained the five-layered AI ecosystem, energy, chips, infrastructure, models, and applications, emphasizing that India’s key strength lies in the application layer. He highlighted growing government support for AI, citing a ₹10,000 crore budget allocation, and stressed the role of data and machine learning in building scalable AI solutions. The session also highlighted emerging career paths such as AI Architects and the increasing importance of prompt engineering as a core technical skill.

The workshop concluded with a focus on AI-driven automation, intelligent tool integration, and data transformation through AI inference, marking a shift beyond traditional coding practices. The event was seamlessly coordinated by Convenor Dr. Vikram Sagar, Organising Secretary Dr. Rina and Innovation Ambassador Dr. Pooja Mohan. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rina. She acknowledged the efforts of the resource person, organizing team and the student volunteers in making the workshop a success.
Overall, the initiative successfully bridged the academia-industry gap and inspired participants to pursue innovation-led and future-ready careers in technology and artificial intelligence.

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of GGDSD College participated in the IIC Regional Meet 2025 held at Panjab University, Chandigarh, on 28 November 2025. The college delegation included faculty members Dr. Sheetal Sharma, Dr. Osheen Sharma, and Dr. Supriya Vaid, along with student representatives Jhanvi Rajpal, Naman Dhiman, and Lakshay, who showcased the institution’s IIC achievements, student-centric initiatives, and innovation-led activities.

The team presented how the council has strengthened the innovation ecosystem through mentoring sessions, business incubation support, idea-pitching platforms, startup bootcamps, inter-college collaborations, and entrepreneurship development workshops. They highlighted major milestones including student impact, successful in-campus startup events, and outcomes from student-driven innovations.

The meet brought together institutions sharing their innovation journeys and featured a startup showcase with ideas ranging from early ideation to initial traction. Students gained practical entrepreneurial exposure, pitching experience, and opportunities to interact with incubators, investors, and mentors.

A key moment was the appreciation from members of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), who acknowledged the impactful presentation by the GGDSD College team. The Principal, Dr. Ajay Sharma, also commended the delegation for representing the institution with commitment and excellence.

Student Power in Action: ‘Open Bazaar 4.0’ Turns GGDSD College into a Hub of Innovation, Enterprise, and Sustainability
�A dynamic wave of innovation and youthful enterprise swept through Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma (GGDSD) College, Sector 32, Chandigarh, as the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Green Campus Committee hosted the much-anticipated Open Bazaar 4.0 — a completely student-led celebration of creativity, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.
The two-day mega event was inaugurated by Principal and IIC President, Dr. Ajay Sharma, who hailed Open Bazaaras “a living example of students transforming ideas into impact — where classrooms extend into enterprises and innovation meets social purpose.” He lauded the organisers and participants for embodying the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat and the experiential vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
This year’s edition saw an impressive 100 student-led stalls, each a vibrant blend of imagination and innovation. From eco-friendly crafts, sustainable fashion, handmade jewellery, digital art, and AI-powered products to culinary ventures and tech-driven creations, the campus transformed into a thriving marketplace of ideas and initiative.
In a powerful display of social responsibility, Open Bazaar 4.0 also extended support to social entrepreneurs and Enactus projects including SOREM, Project NEEV, Project AMAL, and Project AMBIKA, reflecting the college’s deep commitment to inclusive and purpose-driven innovation.
Adding an academic edge, a Business Model Canvas Poster Presentation was organised, where students articulated their entrepreneurial concepts through structured business models — a creative fusion of innovation, analysis, and vision.
The event recorded an impressive footfall of nearly 4,000 visitors and achieved a gross turnover exceeding ₹10 lakh, setting a new benchmark in student enterprise and collaborative achievement. Beyond revenue, it provided invaluable experiential learning — giving students hands-on exposure to market research, branding, customer interaction, and business ethics.
The remarkable success of Open Bazaar 4.0 was the result of student leadership guided by faculty mentors, under the meticulous direction of Convenor Dr. Vikram Sagar, Co-Convenor Dr. Jyoti Joshi, and Organising Secretary Mr. Sureet Singh. Their vision, coupled with the enthusiasm of the student volunteers, made the event a seamless blend of professionalism and youthful energy.
As the curtains drew on this edition of Open Bazaar, the GGDSD College campus resonated with entrepreneurial energy and creative joy. The event reaffirmed the college’s reputation as a cradle of innovation — where students lead, ideas grow, and learning transforms into lasting impact.

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College, Sector 32, Chandigarh, conducted two impactful sessions on 1st October 2025, aimed at empowering students with practical knowledge and tools for innovation, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial readiness.
First, a one-day workshop on “Design Thinking, Critical Thinking, and Innovation Design” was organised in the PML Auditorium earlier in the day. The workshop was led by Mr. Dhaval Kaku, an Entrepreneur-turned-Startup Ecosystem Enabler and Program Curator at Innovation Mission Punjab. Mr. Kaku, who has mentored numerous incubation centres and supported emerging tech startups across India, engaged students in understanding how to apply design thinking for structured problem-solving. He emphasized nurturing a critical mindset, creative ideation, and innovation as essential components of the entrepreneurial journey. With more than 150 students in attendance, the session was highly interactive, featuring engaging activities and discussions that encouraged students to think beyond conventional academic boundaries.
Principal and IIC President Dr. Ajay Sharma inaugurated the workshop and praised IIC’s ongoing efforts to promote innovation culture on campus. The workshop was facilitated under the able guidance of Dr. Vikram Sagar, Convenor of IIC, and Dr. Sheetal Sharma, Innovation Ambassador, both of whom played significant roles in organizing and steering the session toward its objectives. Students left the session with a better understanding of design-oriented thinking and a renewed motivation to approach innovation challenges with fresh perspectives.
This was followed by the IIC hosting a second expert session titled “Achieving Problem-Solution Fit and Product-Market Fit.” This session was conducted by Ms. Shagun Madaan, Mass Acceleration Manager at Innovation Mission Punjab. Ms. Madaan, known for her work in entrepreneurship, innovation, and policy research, provided students with valuable insights into aligning their innovative ideas with real-world market needs. She elaborated on core concepts such as customer discovery, value proposition design, market segmentation, and the iterative nature of startup development. Drawing from her work with startups and policy initiatives, she guided students through frameworks to validate their solutions and assess their market potential.
The session attracted over 100 enthusiastic participants who actively engaged in discussions and Q&A rounds. Dr. Neelu Mahajan, Innovation Ambassador, also contributed her expertise during the session, emphasizing the importance of strategic thinking and evidence-based innovation. Principal Dr. Ajay Sharma commended the combined impact of both sessions, highlighting how they effectively bridged theoretical knowledge with real-world entrepreneurial practices.
Together, the two sessions successfully met their objectives of cultivating critical, design-oriented thinking among students while equipping them with tools to assess and refine their innovations for actual market demands. The dual-format event served as a testament to IIC’s commitment to fostering innovation-driven mindsets and promoting sustainable entrepreneurship among students, thereby strengthening the college’s vision of nurturing future-ready innovators and changemakers.
