AI is becoming accessible to everyone. So, what will make future professionals stand out?

The Department of Commerce explored this question through a guest lecture on “Digital Transformation, AI and the Future Professional.”

The session looked at how technology is reshaping businesses and highlighted the skills that will matter alongside AI—domain knowledge, data literacy, adaptability, communication, judgement and digital ethics.

The takeaway: AI can assist your work, but your judgement creates the value.

The Department of explored this question through a guest lecture by Mr. Venkataramanan KS, Director – Consulting, Cognizant.

The session covered AI’s growing role in education, personalised learning and future careers, while encouraging students to think critically about the information AI provides.

An engaging Q&A also gave students the opportunity to discuss careers, specialisation and preparing for an evolving workplace.
