On October 28, 2025, special programs were organized at the Kanya Gurukul campus in Dehradun as part of Vigilance Awareness Week. This included a vigilance awareness pledge and a guest lecture. Ms. Harshvardhan Suman, Chief Executive Officer, Vigilance Establishment, Uttarakhand, delivered a lecture at the event. She stated that the corruption is being witnessed today from small to large levels. The promotion of corruption, bribery, and nepotism is creating imbalances in society, hindering the development of the country and its institutions. Qualified individuals are often denied opportunities to advance, and incompetent individuals gain power and misuse it, hindering the nation's development. The Prevention of Corruption Act was enacted in 1947. The Lokpal and Lokayukta Act was enacted in 2013. This act was first implemented in Maharashtra. Complaints of corruption can be filed on the 1064 helpline number. Prof. D.S Malik, Vigilance Officer at Gurukul Kangri University, is a member of the Vigilance Committee. Malik provided information about various programs being run during the vigilance awareness campaign in the university. He told that the university is conducting awareness campaign at inter-university level. Professor Heman Pathak, coordinator of Kanya Gurukul Campus Dehradun, talked about the importance of education and culture and talked about inculcating moral values. Professor Renu Shukla gave the vote of thanks. Highlighting the importance of duty, she said that honesty and integrity are the biggest assets of a human being and it should always be preserved. The program was conducted by Dr. Archana Dimri. A large number of teachers and students from various departments were present in the program.
