DIT University Hosts 3rd Alumni Meet at Iron Hills, Bangalore

On June 15th, 2024, DIT University proudly hosted the 3rd Alumni Meet of the DIT University Alumni Association (DITUAA) at Iron Hills, Bangalore. The event was expertly organized by the Bangalore Chapter of DITUAA and saw an enthusiastic turnout of over 50 alumni.

The gathering began with a heartfelt welcome address by Mr. Madhav Chauhan, Secretary of DITUAA and alumnus from the 1999-2003 batch. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Tarun Goyal, President of DITUAA and alumnus from the 2007-2011 batch, who set a collaborative tone for the evening.

Mr. Chauhan then outlined the agenda points, which sparked engaging discussions among the attendees. The alumni of the Bangalore Chapter collectively agreed to initiate various initiatives for their Alma Mater, including:

- Training Programs: Alumni will offer their expertise to current students through specialized training sessions.
- Scholarships: Establishing scholarships to support deserving students.
- Donation Drive: Launching a donation drive to fund the association's goals and support university projects.

These initiatives reflect the alumni's strong commitment to giving back to DIT University and fostering its growth.

Dr. Naveen Singhal, Dean of Alumni Relations, shared the thoughts and encouragements from the Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Priyadarshan Patra and honorable Vice Chancellor Prof.G.Raghurama,DIT University, Dehradun. Dr.Naveen concluded the meeting with a vote of thanks, appreciating the alumni's dedication and willingness to contribute to the university's future.

The memorable evening wrapped up with a dinner at Iron Hills, where old friends reconnected, and new connections were forged, strengthening the bond within the DIT University community.

to "Distinguished Award 2023" Winner Col Ankur Garg, B.Tech 2003.Proud Alumni of DIT University. Honored with the Shaurya Chakra, the third-highest peacetime award, on August 15, 2009, for an act of gallantry. Also, Awarded the Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card on Army Day 2007 for Distinguished Service. Ankur has also received the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Commendation Card on August 15, 2012, for Distinguished Service.Successfully cleared the Selection Board for the coveted rank of Colonel in March 2019. Acknowledged with an On-The-Spot Commendation Card by the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief on October 28, 2023, for Distinguished Service.

to "Gold Best Alumnus Award 2023" Winner Mr Kapil Verma ,Btech ME,2017 . Mr Kapil Verma is a part of Sales Bid Management team of Middle East and India region, aimed towards providing mission critical turbo machines for customers' energy security and transition journey. Recently, worked as a Global Program Manager, where he was responsible for implementation of strategic programs with focus on standardization and transformational growth. His natural ability to lead teams in professional environments towards open ended problems and variety of complex issues has been demonstrated more than once in his endeavors. keen observer of Global Energy Transition and constantly look for challenges that take him higher than a second ago. GATE qualified professional with strong technical aptitude and hold a certification in Advanced Corporate Strategy from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
