Excited to share that Hack the Mind 🧠, a 24-hour hackathon organized by EFO NSUT, will be held on 23rd–24th May 📅 at NSUT 📍

Bringing together around 140 participants from various colleges 🎓, the event will create a space for collaboration 🤝, problem-solving 💡, and building innovative solutions under time pressure ⏳

The hackathon will be conducted under the guidance of Dr. Akhilesh Dubey and Dr. Samir Gokarn 👨‍🏫

We are pleased to share the successful celebration of National Science Day 2026 at Netaji Subhas University of Technology, Delhi, organized by the Faculty of Sciences (Departments of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) under the theme “Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat.”
The program was graced by Prof. Anand Srivastava, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, along with distinguished speakers Prof. Joyee Ghosh (Indian Institute of Technology Delhi), Dr. Kavita Goyal (Forensic Science Laboratory), and Prof. Ekta Saha (Indian Institute of Technology Delhi). The event was also graced by Prof. Sonika Bhatnagar, Dean, Faculty of Science, along with Prof. Sanjeev Thakur (Head, Chemistry), Prof. Vijay Gupta (Head, Mathematics), and Prof. Vinod Kumar (Head, Physics), and senior faculty members Prof. Anjana Sarkar, Prof. Purnima Jain, Prof. J. K. Singh, and Dr. Niraj Kumar.
Celebrated in honor of the discovery of the Raman Effect by C. V. Raman, the event featured inspiring invited talks, alumni interactions, and a poster competition for M.Sc. and Ph.D. students.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Swapnil L. Sonawane and Dr. Harsh (Convener) along with Dr. Pooja Bansal, Dr. Devender, and Dr. Nancy (Coordinator), with active participation from faculty members, researchers, and students of the Departments of Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics at NSUT.
The celebration highlighted the importance of scientific research, inclusivity in STEM, and inspired young minds to contribute toward the vision of a Viksit Bharat.

On 10th February 2026, the Anti Drug Committee, NSUT successfully organized an impactful awareness seminar in collaboration with Alcoholics Anonymous Delhi Intergroup as the Resource Partner. The session was held from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mini Auditorium 2, NSUT.

The seminar aimed to spread awareness about substance abuse, its far-reaching impact on individuals, families, and society, and the pathways to recovery through structured support systems. Members of Alcoholics Anonymous shared powerful, real-life experiences and insights into the globally recognized 12-Step recovery program, emphasizing hope, resilience, and community support.

The event was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Shampa Chakraverty, Dean of Student Welfare (DSW), NSUT, and Dr. Shiksha Kushwah, Committee Member, Anti Drug Committee, NSUT, whose guidance and support were instrumental in the successful organization of the seminar.

The session witnessed active participation from students and faculty, fostering meaningful dialogue around addiction, mental health, and responsible decision-making. It encouraged students to make informed life choices and reinforced the university’s commitment to creating a safe, healthy, and supportive campus environment.

The Anti Drug Committee, NSUT continues to take proactive steps toward sensitizing the student community on issues of substance abuse and promoting awareness-driven initiatives in collaboration with credible organizations.

By tracing this journey, the speaker highlighted how innovation, inclusivity, and changing mindsets have shaped entrepreneurship as we see it today.
With a growing ecosystem that actively supports new voices, the focus now shifts to the role of young innovators in driving the next phase of impact. Such discussions help students understand where the ecosystem stands today and how their ideas can contribute meaningfully to its future.
