Immanuel College is a full fledged college, affiliated to Nagaland University. It was previously known as Kilenkaba memorial college and is the pioner among science college in Dimapur, established in the year 1994 .It has recently accredited B+ by NAAC placing it among the top colleges in the State.The college is centrally located in a prime area at Lingrijan, near dimapur Ao Baptist church (Dunc

an). It provides Higher Secondary Courses for both Arts & Science as well as Degree Courses in both Science & Arts with Honours in all the Major Subjects. The college was established with the aim of providing quality education and to meet the challenge in the new millennium. Besides preparing the students academically both in science and arts stream, the college also focuses on the student development as good and responsible citizens of the country. The main objective of Immanuel college is to develop notable personality, character and culture to face the challange of the modern world. The college provides bording facilities for both girls and boys. The college is also well equiped with well qualified faculty and has adequate infrastructure of class rooms, laboratories , libraries and sports.

Students and teachers namely Dr. Temsutola and Mrs. Watilemla from the Department of Botany participated at the National IP Yatra Nagaland 2026 organised by Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) on 13th March 2026 at the Integrated Business Hub and Innovation Centre, Forest Colony, Dimapur in collaboration with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). This initiative mainly aims to spread awareness about Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) among MSME’s, start-ups, entrepreneur and the young students. It also seeks to sensitize participants on the importance of IPR while encouraging technology adoption in production and processing, paving the way for a Technology Transfer Facilitation Centre in the state.
The main speaker of the day was Smt. Nezelu N Kotso, Executive Director, CWWS, Shri. Lezo Putsure, Founder & CEO, ESB, Dr. Pankaj Kumar, DPIIT IPR Chair & Prof. IITG and the Panellist were Adv. Limasenla Longkumer, Dr. Talijungla, Prof., NU, Er. Rishav Sethi, CEO, NITI and Smt. Nezulu N Kotso.

An Orientation programme on Academic and Administrative Audit (AAA) Documentation was successfully conducted on 7th March 2026 at Immanuel College, Dimapur. The programme was jointly organised by Immanuel College, Dimapur and Mount Mary College, Chümoukedima.
The session featured Dr. Vinyuhu Lhoungu, IQAC Coordinator of Dimapur Government College, as the resource person, who shared valuable and practical insights on the proper documentation of AAA processes in higher education institutions.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Naruti Longkumer, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry. The event began with an invocation by Miss Jullie I Awomi, followed by a warm welcome address by Dr. Sharatchandra Thingujam, Principal of Immanuel College.
A special song was also presented by Miss Akhrienuo Ltu from MA 2nd sem adding a special touch to the programme. The session concluded with an interactive discussion moderated by Dr. Basant Giri, IQAC Coordinator of Mount Mary College, where participants actively engaged with the resource person followed by a vote of thanks delivered by Miss Nengpilhing, IQAC Coordinator of Immanuel College.

On 21st February 2026, the Department of Economics had a Student Exchange Programme which was successfully conducted with the Economics Department of MGM College. The programme aimed to promote academic collaboration, knowledge sharing, and cultural interaction among students. Participants engaged in interactive sessions, discussions on economic concepts, and shared learning experiences. The exchange helped students gain broader academic exposure, improve communication skills, and develop a better understanding of diverse perspectives in economics. The NSS Unit, Immanuel College, Dimapur, conducted a workshop programme on My Bharat Yuva Mandal Vikas Abhiyan on 18th February 2026 at the Conference Hall of Immanuel College.
The resource person, Ms. Moa, District Representative of My Bharat Youth Volunteers, addressed the students on the importance of registering on the Bharat Yuva Portal. She also highlighted the benefits and privileges of participating in various competitions under the My Bharat Portal.

On 13th February, 2026, Immanuel College Career Guidance and Placement Cell in collaboration with Eagle Crest Training Academy and Consultancy, conducted a career guidance programme on Aviation, Hospitality and Cruise Industry at the College Auditorium. The resource person of the event was Miss Juniper Phom, Admin and Training Head, Eagle Crest Training Academy and Consultancy.

In her adress, Miss Juniper highlighted various sectors, schemes and industries partnered with Eagle Crest, including its collaboration with the Government of Nagaland. She informed the students that the institution avails skill loan to trainees under the initiative of the Government of Nagaland and also the provides programme such as Home Support Service Training to underprivileged youth.

She outlined some of the key attributes required in skill- based sectors such as adaptability and flexibility, good communication skills, confidence, teamwork and professional appearance.

The resource person elaborated on the career prospects and opportunities available in Aviation, Hospitality, Cruise Industry, etc. She further mentioned that their Industry partners regularly come for recruitment drive and sometimes online interviews are also arranged when necessary.
In her concluding speech, she also informed the students about the upcoming interviews in their institution.

The session was chaired by Chubarenla and vote of thanks was proposed by Ireikeu Newme.

The session was led by CA Vijay Raj Agarwalla, Finance & Corporate Trainer, who addressed current employability trends, emerging corporate career pathways, and required industry skills across finance, marketing, and sales domains. Students were also introduced to PIBM’s two-year professional programme and the upcoming Guwahati campus, along with its structured training and placement support model.
