DAV Centenary College, Faridabad Signs MoU with Kartavya Zenith Foundation for Internship & Skill Development Collaboration

Faridabad, May 25, 2026 – DAV Centenary College, Faridabad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kartavya Zenith Foundation, Faridabad, with the objective of strengthening industry-academia collaboration and creating enhanced learning opportunities for students.
The collaboration aims to provide students with internship opportunities, practical exposure, live projects, and skill development initiatives in domains such as Finance, BFSI, and allied sectors. Under this partnership, students will receive structured training programs, industry insights, and hands-on learning experiences designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional requirements.
As part of the initiative, participating students will undergo a minimum of 120 hours of training and practical exposure under the guidance of mentors and supervisors. Successful candidates will also receive internship completion certificates after fulfilling the program requirements.
The partnership reflects the shared commitment of both institutions towards empowering students with practical knowledge, enhancing employability skills, and preparing them for future career opportunities.

The MOU signing ceremony was conducted in the presence of Principal Dr. Narender Kumar, ATPO Ms. Twinkle, and Faculty Coordinator Mr. Neeraj Malik from DAV Centenary College, Faridabad. - The temple directors expressed their heartfelt thanks and blessings to *Dr. Narender Kumar, Officiating Principal, DAV Centenary College, Faridabad*, for his vision and initiative in organizing an Educational and Spiritual Visit to temples in Delhi and Faridabad.
They appreciated the college’s efforts in fostering spiritual awareness and cultural enrichment among students, and conveyed their blessings for the continued success of such initiatives. Dr. Saroj Sawhney was honored for sharing profound spiritual thoughts, leading soulful bhajans with students, distributing langar prashad, and providing spiritual materials. Her discourse on Lord Krishna’s teachings deepened the students’ understanding of spiritual and cultural values. Her presence and guidance also helped students experience a sense of inner peace and reflection.

Gopiswar Das was appreciated for arranging melodious kirtan and music, which created a divine and uplifting atmosphere for the students. His efforts in promoting Krishna Consciousness and spiritual harmony greatly supported the objective of the visit. His arrangement of musical chanting created a sacred and devotional environment for the students.

BAJMC Students of DAV Centenary College Empanelled as Assignees for Yuvavani, Akashvani Delhi

In a moment of pride for DAV Centenary College, two students from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (BAJMC) have been empanelled as Assignees for Yuvavani, Akashvani Delhi. Komal Kumari (BAJMC, 4th Semester) and Pratyaksh Parihar (BAJMC, 2nd Semester) have been selected for the prestigious youth platform of All India Radio. The empanelment was confirmed through official communication from Akashvani regarding Empanelment as Assignee, Yuvavani, Akashvani Delhi.

Dr. Narender Kumar, Officiating Principal, met and blessed both students at the college. Congratulating them on their achievement, he said, This success is a testament to the talent of our students and the practical training imparted by our faculty. Such platforms give students national-level exposure and align perfectly with the skill-based learning envisioned under NEP 2020.

He further lauded the efforts of Rachna Kasana, Head – BAJMC for consistently motivating and guiding students to appear for the Akashvani audition. Principal Sir also extended his appreciation to all faculty members of the BAJMC Department for their continuous mentoring and support.

Yuvavani is the youth programme service of All India Radio, Akashvani which provides a platform for young talent to showcase their skills in radio broadcasting, presentation and content creation.

An Industry–Academia Internship Connect Meet was successfully organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of DAV Centenary College on 18 May 2026 in the IQAC Room of the college. The event aimed to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry and to facilitate internship opportunities for students.
The meeting was graced by the presence of around 25 industrialists, businessmen, and directors from various organizations, along with Heads of Departments, IQAC core committee members, and faculty members of the college. The session served as an important platform for meaningful interaction between industry representatives and the academic community.
The program was organized under the guidance of Dr. Narender Kumar and Dr. Jitender Dhull.
The program began with a warm welcome by Dr. Nisha Singh, who introduced the event and emphasized the importance of strong industry–academia partnerships for enhancing students’ practical knowledge and employability.
During the session, Dr. Bindu Roy presented the activities and achievements of the college, highlighting the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, skill development, and industry engagement.
Dr. Arti Kumari elaborated on the internship guidelines issued by Maharshi Dayanand University under the framework of National Education Policy 2020. She emphasized the significance of internships for second-year students as an integral part of the curriculum to provide hands-on experience and exposure to real-world work environments.
The meeting also included a review of the progress of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed by the college with various organizations during the last three years. The industry representatives shared their valuable suggestions and expressed willingness to strengthen collaboration with the college through internships, guest lectures, training sessions, industrial visits, and skill development initiatives.
Several prospective organizations also showed interest in establishing new partnerships with the college through fresh MoUs.
The meet was attended and cordinated by Heads of Departments including Dr. Minakshi Hooda, Dr. Rekha Singh, Ms. Omita Johar, Ms. Rachna Kasana, and Ms. Twinkle (ATPO), along with other faculty members and IQAC team members.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Lalita Dhingra, who expressed gratitude to all the industry representatives and participants for their valuable presence and support. The meet proved to be highly productive and successful, paving the way for stronger industry–academia collaboration and enhanced internship opportunities for students.

Activity Report

DAV Centenary College organized a Campus Recruitment Drive on 13 May 2026 to provide career opportunities for students in the fields of Banking, Financial Services, Marketing, and Data Services. The drive aimed to bridge the gap between students and industry by giving students exposure to the corporate recruitment process.
The recruitment drive witnessed the participation of reputed companies including Bandhan Bank, TeamLease, Reliable Data Services Pvt. Ltd., Bajaj Capital, and Insha Marketing Pvt. Ltd. Students participated enthusiastically in the recruitment process which included registration, interviews, and interaction sessions with company representatives.
Around 80 students took part in the drive. The event helped students understand industry expectations, improve their communication skills, and explore various employment opportunities. Company representatives also guided students regarding career growth and workplace professionalism.
Overall, the campus recruitment drive was successfully conducted and proved beneficial for students’ career development and industry exposure.
The drive was organized under the guidance and supervision of Principal Dr. Narender Kumar and ATPO Miss Twinkle with the dedicated efforts of the Placement Cell coordinators Mr. Neeraj Malik, Dr. Anjusha Srivastava, Mr. Hardik Malhotra and Miss Pallavi Yadav.

“यादों का बुलेटिन” से दी गई पत्रकारिता विभाग अंतिम वर्ष छात्रों को विदाई

डीएवी शताब्दी महाविद्यालय पत्रकारिता विभाग द्वारा 2023–2026 बैच के विद्यार्थियों के लिए भव्य विदाई समारोह का आयोजन किया गया। “यादों का बुलेटिन” नामक विदाई समारोह में छात्रों ने अपने तीन वर्ष की यात्रा को रील्स, वीडियो व फोटोग्राफ्स के माध्यम द्वारा फिर से जीया | इन वीडियो में उनके कॉलेज के यादगार पल, उपलब्धियाँ और अनुभव शामिल रहे, जिन्हें देखकर सभी भावुक हो गए। कार्यवाहक प्राचार्य, डॉ. नरेंद्र कुमार के दिशा-निर्देशन आयोजित इस विदाई समारोह की मुख्य अतिथि, कंप्यूटर विभाग से सुनीता डुडेजा रहीं | विशिष्ट अतिथियों के रूप में मार्केटिंग विभागाध्यक्ष, सोनिया नरूला, बी.वॉक विभागाध्यक्ष, रजनी टुटेजा व कंप्यूटर विभाग से सहायक प्रवक्ता प्रमोद कुमार शामिल रहे |

अंतिम वर्ष के छात्रों ने मनमोहक प्रस्तुतियां दीं, रैंप वॉक किया और शिक्षकों के साथ हुए अपने अध्यापन अनुभवों को साझा किया | प्रस्तुतियों, क्लास परफॉरमेंस व प्रोफेशनल एक्सपर्टीज के आधार पर छात्रों को विशेष सम्मानों से नवाजा गया। हिमांशु को मि. फेयरवेल व मोनिष्का सैनी को मिस फेयरवेल चुना गया। इसके अलावा खुशी टंडन को मिस ओबीडिएंट, आयुष को मि. क्रिएटिव, रुद्र प्रसाद को मि. ऑल राउंडर, तरुण को मि. इंटेलिजेंट, कीर्ति शाह को मिस गॉर्जियस, श्रुति को मिस साइलेंट अचीवर, रुचि को मिस मल्टी टैलेंटेड, बॉबी को मि. हैंडसम, मोहित को मि. इंस्पिरेशनल और गौरव गौतम को मि. रेगुलर की उपाधि दी गई।

प्रथम और द्वितीय वर्ष के छात्रों द्वारा बनाया गया सेल्फी प्वाइंट सभी के आकर्षण का केंद्र रहा, जहाँ हर किसी ने अपनी सेल्फी ली। पत्रकारिता विभागाध्यक्ष रचना कसाना ने अंतिम वर्ष के छात्रों के साथ “1 2 3” गीत पर शानदार नृत्य किया। इसके अलावा पीआरओ व समारोह संयोजक, वीरेंद्र सिंह ने अंतिम पाठ के रूप में मौजूदा शासन व्यवस्था को इंगित करती हरियाणवी रागनी सुनाई | संयोजिका, कृतिका व आयोजक सचिव, हिमानी ने भी अपनी प्रस्तुतियों से सबका मन मोह लिया। अन्य विभागों के विभागाध्यक्ष, शिक्षक व गैर-शिक्षण कर्मचारी भी कार्यक्रम में शामिल हुए और सभी ने मिलकर इसका आनंद लिया। मंच संचालन द्वितीय वर्ष की मानवी और प्रथम वर्ष से टीया ने बहुत अच्छे तरीके से किया और पूरे कार्यक्रम को सफलतापूर्वक संभाला। सभी शिक्षकों और अतिथियों ने अंतिम वर्ष के छात्रों को आशीर्वाद दिया और भविष्य के लिए प्रेरणादायक बातें समझायीं।

*Proud Moments from Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-161) NCC Camp!*

NCC cadets of DAV Centenary College participated in the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-161), organized by 1 Haryana Naval Unit NCC at Yaduvanshi Shiksha Niketan School from 21 April to 30 April 2026. A total of 32 cadets from the college, including 12 girls and 20 boys, took part in the camp.

During the 10-day camp, the cadets actively participated in drill practice, weapon training, firing practice, and cultural activities with great energy and enthusiasm. They also attended motivational talks delivered by Navy officers and contributed to cleanliness drives, tree plantation activities, and medical first-aid awareness campaigns, truly living the spirit of the NCC motto — *“Unity and Discipline.”*

The Principal of DAV Centenary College, Dr. Narendra Kumar, said:
“The camp was a great platform for our cadets to develop leadership, teamwork, confidence, and a sense of national pride. Their dedication and discipline truly made everyone proud.”

SD Wing CTO Dr. Jitendra Dhull and SW Wing CTO Dr. Rashmi Raturi mentioned:
“Our Cadet Captain Vishnu achieved the highest rank in the NCC Naval Wing and was promoted to Senior Cadet Captain. Cadet Captain Anshika won the Gold Medal in the Best Drill Competition among SW cadets. Cadet Mayank Bhati and PO Cadet Chetanya Khatri secured Gold and Silver Medals respectively in the Best Drill Competition among all SD cadets. Cadet Vikas Kumar and Cadet Yukti won individual Bronze Medals in the Firing Competition. Our SW cadets, including PO Cadet Saniya, Cadet Simran, Cadet Yogita, Cadet Tiksha Negi, and Cadet Khushbu, won the Gold Medal in the Tug of War Competition.”
