(C&SL) & MA/M.Sc Criminology and Crime Science of School of Criminal Law and Military Law (SCLML), RRU visited the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Ahmedabad Zonal Unit (AZU). Intelligence Officers of NCB AZU briefed students and had an interactive (Q & A) session.

Today, the School of Criminal Law and Military Law (SCLML) had the privilege of hosting a distinguished lecture on "White Collar Crimes and the Regulatory Challenges" by none other than Dr. Sibichen Mathew, IRS, Principal Director of Income Tax (Investigation). It was an enlightening session that delved into the complexities of white-collar crimes and the regulatory landscape surrounding them.

As professionals in various fields, understanding white-collar crimes and the challenges they pose is paramount, Dr. Mathew's expertise and insights shed light on the nuances of these crimes, highlighting the importance of stringent regulatory frameworks and proactive measures to combat them effectively.

The SCLML faculties delivered sessions to the police officers of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu at the 'Five Days Sensitisation Programme on New Criminal Laws,' shedding light on the impactful changes introduced by the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023 and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam at Silvassa, capital of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu.

The Legal Aid Clinic of the School of Criminal and Military Law (SCLML) in continuance with its flagship Legal Literacy and Awareness Camps organized another such Camp for the students of Revaba Vidhyamandir School, Dehgam, Gandhinagar. The Camp saw a participation of around 120 students from Class 8th to Class 12th where a team of LL.M., B.B.A.LL.B. and M.Sc. students led by Mr. Gantav Gupta, Assistant Professor of Law sensitized the school children about health and nutrition, menstrual hygiene, responsible use of social media and planning their career choices.
