The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) successfully organized a seminar on 22nd April 2026, featuring an insightful session by Dr. Vivek Kumar Pathak (Associate Dean) on “Igniting Creativity & Innovation for Success.”

Fire Fighting Practical Session at The ICFAI University, Sikkim

At The ICFAI University, Sikkim, learning goes beyond the classroom and emphasizes hands-on practical training that equips students with real-world skills. In line with this approach, a Fire Fighting Practical Session was conducted by Award Rai (Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management), a certified trained personnel in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (Basic Training Module).

The session provided students with valuable practical exposure to essential fire safety measures and emergency response techniques. Students were trained to identify different classes of fire, understand the use of appropriate fire extinguishers, and operate them using correct handling techniques.

The practical exercise also covered key aspects of fire prevention, risk awareness, and immediate response during fire-related emergencies, particularly in hotel and institutional settings where safety preparedness is crucial.

Through this hands-on session, students enhanced their safety awareness, developed technical competence, and built the confidence needed to respond effectively in emergency situations.

✨ Ambedkar Jayanti Celebrated at ICFAI University Sikkim (Faculty of Law) ✨

The Faculty of Law, ICFAI University Sikkim, proudly celebrated Ambedkar Jayanti on 14th April 2026, paying tribute to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and his remarkable contributions to the nation.

The event began with a welcome address by Ms. Dristhi Thapa (BA LL.B IV), highlighting the significance of the day. The Dean offered a ceremonial Khada as a mark of respect.

Students Serak Moriju, Kullu Cheda, and Sameul Jomo shared inspiring thoughts on Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals and legacy. 🎤

🏆 Winners of the Debate Competition were felicitated by Ms. Sandhya Pant, Joint Registrar:

• Astha Saptoka & Ayush Bose (BA LL.B Sem X)
