An Academic Guest Lecture on the Topic “Recent Trends in Powerplant Engineering” was successfully organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Buddha Polytechnic College, on April 17, 2026, at the Seminar Hall, Block-1.
The session commenced at 12:05 PM and continued till 01:45 PM.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. R.P. Singh, Lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Government Polytechnic, Gorakhpur. He shared his valuable knowledge and insights into the latest advancements and emerging technologies in power plant engineering.

40 number of students actively participated in the session. The lecture mainly focused on modern trends in power generation, including advancements in thermal, hydro, nuclear, and renewable energy systems. The speaker explained recent innovations, efficiency improvement techniques, and the role of sustainable and cleaner energy solutions. Real-world examples and practical applications made the session highly engaging and easy to understand.

Students gained a deeper understanding of how modern power plants are evolving with technological advancements and environmental considerations. The session also highlighted future career opportunities and challenges in the field of power plant engineering.

Around 35 students actively participated in the session.
