Preparations for the 11th Convocation of Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur, proposed to be held on 5th August 2026, gathered momentum as Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Anupama Kaushik Sharma chaired a comprehensive review meeting with coordinators of various committees. Several key decisions were taken to make this year's convocation more inclusive and impactful.

In alignment with the Government's ODOP initiative, traditional Gorakhpur Terracotta handicrafts will be presented as mementos to distinguished guests, promoting local artisans, entrepreneurs, and the region's rich cultural heritage.

The University will also develop a promotional film showcasing its achievements, academic excellence, research accomplishments, and state-of-the-art facilities for wider outreach and visibility.

In a significant departure from previous practice, each department will invite a distinguished alumnus/alumna to confer degrees ceremonially upon graduating students who are not awarded degrees on the main convocation stage, strengthening alumni engagement and inspiring future graduates.

School children and Anganwadi workers will once again participate in the celebrations, reflecting the University's commitment to community engagement.
