Delegation from the Philippines Visits Gautam Buddha University to Strengthen Academic Collaboration

A high-level delegation from the Province of Benguet, Department of Education, Republic of the Philippines, visited Gautam Buddha University (GBU) and held a formal meeting with Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rana Pratap Singh. The discussions centred on expanding cooperation in research, teaching, and capacity-building between GBU and the Department of Education, Benguet.

During the meeting, the delegation highlighted the requirement for specialized training programs for teachers in the areas of Science, Mathematics, and Information & Communication Technology (ICT). They expressed interest in availing the expertise of GBU faculty members for both online and offline training initiatives, along with exploring opportunities for joint research. Both parties agreed to proceed with the subsequent steps towards signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize this collaboration.

This interaction marks the third official engagement between Gautam Buddha University and the Department of Education, Benguet, indicating a steadily strengthening academic partnership.

*Cyber Security Awareness Session for the Security Personnel at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida (UP)*

As part of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (October 2025), the Yuvaa Club of SOICT, and NSS Cell of Gautam Buddha University successfully organized a Cyber Safety Awareness Program for campus security guards on 16th Oct 2025 at the SoICT Conference Room.

The session was led by Dr. Gaurav Kumar, Assistant Professor, NSS Program Coordinator, Master Trainer (ISEA–MeitY, Govt. of India) and Cyber Ambassador.

More than 65+ security guards enthusiastically participated in the session, learning about phishing, fake calls, online frauds, and safe digital practices. Participants also took the Cyber Jagrit Bharat Citizen Pledge, committing to make India a Cyber Suraksh*t Bharat.

Together, we move one step closer to building a Cyber Aware and Secure University!

Gautam Buddha University successfully hosted the Two-Day International Abhidhamma Divas Conference on October 6–7, 2025, concluding with a valedictory session that brought together distinguished scholars and guests from across India and abroad.Conference HighlightsThe conference was a joint initiative by Gautam Buddha University (Greater Noida), International Buddhist Confederation (New Delhi), and Antarashtriya Bauddh Sodh Sansthan (Lucknow).Prof. Subhra Barua from University of Delhi delivered a special address emphasizing Abhidhamma's profound role in Pali literature and Buddhist traditions.Prof. Rana Pratap Singh, Vice Chancellor of GBU, offered a presidential address on the contemporary relevance of Gautama Buddha’s teachings and their universal impact.Prof. Ravindra Panth, Director of the International Buddhist Confederation, spoke as Chief Guest about the power of Abhidhamma in mental purification and well-being.Conference Director Dr. Chintala Venkata Sivasai welcomed the participants and presented the official report and vote of thanks.Academic Sessions & ParticipantsDay two featured five academic sessions chaired by Prof. H.P.
