Academic Exposure & Experiential Learning | Visit to BITS Pilani Campus
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering & Technology, SGT
University, organized an enriching academic exposure visit to the BITS Pilani Campus on
3rd September 2026, providing students and faculty members an opportunity to experience
learning beyond the classroom.
As part of the visit, the participants attended a One-Day Hands-on Workshop on
“Advanced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems: Natural Refrigerants,
Absorption/Adsorption Systems and MATLAB-Based Modelling.”
The workshop offered valuable exposure to advanced RAC technologies, natural
refrigerants, sustainable cooling solutions, absorption and adsorption systems, and
MATLAB-based modelling. Interaction with experts and exposure to the academic and
research ecosystem at BITS Pilani helped students connect theoretical concepts with
practical engineering applications.
A special note of gratitude to Prof. M. S. Dasgupta, Mechanical Engineering
Department, BITS Pilani, for his valuable guidance, academic insights, and support in
making this learning experience enriching and meaningful for our students and faculty
members.
Learning beyond classrooms. Exploring advanced technologies. Building future-
ready engineers.
