Seminar on the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji at GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar
GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, organized a one-day seminar on “Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji: Jeevan, Bani ate Shahadat” on 12th November 2025 to mark the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of the ninth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. The seminar was held in the College Seminar Hall and witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, students, and guests.
The programme began with a soulful Shabad recitation by the students, setting a spiritual tone for the event. The introduction of the seminar was given by Prof. Vishavpreet Kaur, who briefly outlined the objectives and significance of the occasion.
The Principal, Prof. Inderjit Singh, extended a warm welcome to all guests and participants. In his address, he inspired students to draw lessons from the life and teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, encouraging them to follow the Guru’s ideals of truth, courage, compassion, and self-sacrifice in their daily lives.
Prof. Amritpal Singh delivered a detailed lecture on the historical background of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, highlighting the socio-political conditions of his time and his unparalleled contribution to Sikh history. The Chief Guest, Dr. Balwinderpal Singh Ji, delivered an enlightening and thought-provoking lecture on the philosophy of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, explaining his teachings with references from Gurbani and emphasizing the Guru’s universal message of religious freedom, equality, and human dignity.
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rajinder Singh Ji, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, guests, and students for their participation and support in making the seminar a success. The stage was gracefully conducted by Prof. Vishavpreet Kaur.
The event was graced by the presence of eminent faculty members — Prof. S.K. Gupta, Prof. Jasbinder Kaur, Prof. Jaspreet Kaur Gulati, Prof. Navjit Singh, Dr. Amrinder Kaur, and Prof. Lavisha — along with School Principal Mr. Vinod Kumar.
