Navjot Kaur, a student of B.Voc (Medical Laboratory Technology), Session 2022–25, at GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, has achieved a remarkable academic milestone by securing First Position and earning the Gold Medal from Panjab University, Chandigarh.
To honour her exceptional performance, the college organised a felicitation ceremony. S. Manjit Singh Gill, President of the College Governing Council, and Secretary Dr. S. S. Thind, along with Principal Prof. Inderjit Singh and Dr. Pargat Singh Garcha, Principal, GHG College of Education, congratulated the student and wished her success in her future pursuits.
The event was also attended by Prof. Karamjeet Kaur, Head of the Department, along with Prof. Kamalpreet Kaur and Prof. Simranjeet Kaur, who appreciated the student’s dedication and motivated her to continue striving for excellence.

World AIDS Day Observed at GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar (01 December 2025)

The NSS Unit and Red Ribbon Club of GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, jointly organized a Poster Making Competition on 01 December 2025 to observe World AIDS Day and to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS among students.

Students and NSS volunteers participated enthusiastically and prepared posters focusing on prevention, awareness, and social responsibility. Principal Prof. Inderjit Singh appreciated the efforts of the participants and encouraged them to stay informed and contribute to creating a healthier society.

The event was graced by Prof. S. K. Gupta and Dr. Rajinder Singh, who interacted with the participants and reviewed their creative work. Programme Officers Prof. Shekla, Prof. Bohar Singh, Prof. Navjit Singh, and Prof. Karamjit Kaur were also present on the occasion.

Seminar on the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji at GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar

GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, organized a one-day seminar on “Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji: Jeevan, Bani ate Shahadat” on 12th November 2025 to mark the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of the ninth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. The seminar was held in the College Seminar Hall and witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, students, and guests.

The programme began with a soulful Shabad recitation by the students, setting a spiritual tone for the event. The introduction of the seminar was given by Prof. Vishavpreet Kaur, who briefly outlined the objectives and significance of the occasion.

The Principal, Prof. Inderjit Singh, extended a warm welcome to all guests and participants. In his address, he inspired students to draw lessons from the life and teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, encouraging them to follow the Guru’s ideals of truth, courage, compassion, and self-sacrifice in their daily lives.

Prof. Amritpal Singh delivered a detailed lecture on the historical background of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, highlighting the socio-political conditions of his time and his unparalleled contribution to Sikh history. The Chief Guest, Dr. Balwinderpal Singh Ji, delivered an enlightening and thought-provoking lecture on the philosophy of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, explaining his teachings with references from Gurbani and emphasizing the Guru’s universal message of religious freedom, equality, and human dignity.

The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rajinder Singh Ji, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, guests, and students for their participation and support in making the seminar a success. The stage was gracefully conducted by Prof. Vishavpreet Kaur.

The event was graced by the presence of eminent faculty members — Prof. S.K. Gupta, Prof. Jasbinder Kaur, Prof. Jaspreet Kaur Gulati, Prof. Navjit Singh, Dr. Amrinder Kaur, and Prof. Lavisha — along with School Principal Mr. Vinod Kumar.

B.VOC MEDICAL LAB TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT POSITIONS IN PANJAB UNIVERSITY
Students of B.Voc MLT 4th semester made G.H.G Khalsa college Gurusar Sadhar proud by grabbing first five university positions in their May 2025 examination .Kaynat got 1st ,Rajan 2nd ,Chanchal 3rd ,Khuspreet Kaur 4th and Anmolpreet Kaur got 5th position respectively.
All Students attributed this success to their hardworking and to the efforts of their professors

Commemoration of 150 Years of "Vande Mataram"

GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, celebrated the 150th anniversary of our National Song Vande Mataram with great enthusiasm. NCC (3 PB Girls Battalion) and NSS Units participated, singing the song together and taking a pledge to uphold patriotism and national unity.

Dr. Rajinder Singh shared the historic significance of the song and Bankim Chandra Chatterjee’s contribution in inspiring the nation. Our Principal, Prof. Inderjit Singh, and Prof. S.K. Gupta appreciated the efforts of both units.

The event was conducted under the guidance of Lt. Preety Saini (NCC) and NSS Programme Officers — Prof. Shelka, Prof. Karamjit Kaur, Prof. Bohar Singh, and Prof. Navjit Singh. Around 40 cadets and volunteers actively participated in this patriotic celebration.

The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology organized an Extension Lecture on “Diabetes” to enhance students’ understanding of the disease with respect to its diagnosis, management, and prevention. The session was held on 4th November 2025 in the Seminar Hall. The distinguished guest speaker was Dr. Jagmeet Suri, Founder and Director of Guide My Diet, BHMA, and M.Sc. (Food and Nutrition).

Dr. Suri delivered a comprehensive lecture covering significant aspects of diabetes mellitus, including its types, etiological factors, insulin resistance, PCOD, and nutritional management. The resource person further emphasized the importance of preventive strategies and lifestyle modifications in reducing the incidence and complications associated with diabetes.

The lecture was highly interactive, with students actively engaging in discussions, seeking clarifications, and gaining practical insights into diagnostic methodologies and patient management. Principal Prof. Inderjit Singh graced the occasion, interacted with the students, and extended a vote of thanks to the resource person for her informative and enlightening session.

In conjunction with the lecture, students showcased educational charts and creative models depicting the pathophysiology of diabetes, mechanism of insulin action, and diagnostic procedures. These exhibits reflected their conceptual clarity and innovative approach. To acknowledge their efforts, merit certificates and prizes were awarded to the best presentations based on creativity, scientific accuracy, and visual appeal.

The event was successfully organized under the guidance and supervision of Prof. Karamjeet Kaur (Head, Department of Medical Laboratory Technology), Prof. Kamalpreet Kaur, and Prof. Simranjeet Kaur.

Overall, the extension lecture proved to be insightful and enriching, significantly contributing to the students’ academic and practical understanding of diabetes and its management.

NSS Unit of GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. The event began with a pledge ceremony promoting unity and integrity. Principal Prof. Inderjit Singh inspired students to follow Patel’s ideals. Organized by NSS Programme Officers Prof. Prof. Shelka, Prof. Bohar Singh, Navjit Singh and Prof. Karamjit Kaur, the celebration reflected the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.

An activity on “World Food Day” was organized in the Department of Food Processing and Quality Management on 27th of October 2025. This time the theme was”Hand in Hand for better foods and a better future “. The event was conducted to celebrate the spirit of World Food Day and to create awareness about the importance of food, nutrition, and sustainable production. The students of the third year took the lead in organizing the entire event, preparing a wide variety of innovative and nutritious food items that showcased their creativity and technical skills. The event received an overwhelming response, with staff members enthusiastically participating and appreciating the student's efforts.Prof.Inderjit Singh, principal GHG Khalsa College highly appreciated the whole activity .The celebration not only highlighted the significance of food in our lives but also encouraged teamwork, innovation, and practical learning among the students.

NCC unit: GHG KHALSA college GURUSAR SADHAR

SUO. Gurmanpreet Singh successfully participated in the Leadership and Team Building (Adventure) Course at the prestigious Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi from 28th September to 7th October 2025.
During the course, he trained for basic mountaineering techniques, use of mountaineering equipment, and rock terminology, while participating in thrilling activities such as rock craft, bush craft, river stream crossing, tent pitching, and treks to Harunta Bugyal and Varunawat Top.
It was a valuable experience in high-altitude survival techniques and team coordination in cold weather conditions during camp sighting at Tekhla top and Oyali.
