Final PhD viva voce presentation of Ms Jasmin Sultana, Research scholar, Dept of Botany, Royal Global University, Guwahati, on "Evaluation of Neem (Azadiracta indica) and Tea (Camellia sinensis) leaf residues as Biological Nitrification Inhibitors (BNIs) in Rice cultivation of Assam" under the supervision of Dr Anushree Baruah, RGU and Co-supervision of Dr Nirmali Bordoloi , Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi.
Prof Nirmali Gogoi, Dept of Environmental Science, Tezpur University, Assam served as external examiner for the oral defense examination.

Congratulations to *Dr. Upashna Chettri* on securing the IndiaBioscience extension grant for her project " **Bridging communities and conservation: Outreach for Himalayan Salamanders in Darjeeling Hills* ". She had received the initial grant in the 5th IndiaBioscience Outreach Grant in 2024, and was awarded the extension due to her exemplary contribution to the conservation of Himalayan salamanders in the Darjeeling region.
