In response to recent speculations, Gauhati University clarifies that there has been no increase in fees for the upcoming Five-Year Integrated Master's Programme (FYIMP) batch for the academic session 2026–27.

The fee structure for FYIMP admissions has largely remained unchanged since the 2023–24 academic session. Variations in the current fee structure strictly apply only to courses introduced this year.

Further, as part of the University’s continued commitment towards student welfare, fees for the second and subsequent semesters were reduced from the 2025–26 academic session onwards. The same reduced structure remains applicable for the current cycle, ensuring continued financial relief for students.

Students, parents, and guardians are urged to rely only on official notifications issued by Gauhati University and refrain from believing or circulating unauthorised rumours or misleading information regarding fee revisions.

Gauhati University launches the Integrated B.Sc.–M.Sc. Programme in Data Analytics from the academic session 2026–27 under the NEP 2020 framework.

Designed for the next generation of innovators, this 5-year integrated programme blends Statistics, Mathematics, Programming, AI, Big Data and Analytics, equipping students with industry-ready skills.

Students earn a B.Sc. (Honours) in Data Analytics after 4 years, with the option to complete an integrated M.Sc. in the 5th year.
