As appealed, the glow sign boards for all the hostels have arrived and in a short span all these boards will be installed.

Many problems and issues related to the University and the Varsitians have been focused upon. Some issues have been eased while others are still in the pipeline, on the verge of being resolved.
But one of the core issues we all have been talking about is the......
"BUS SERVICE" and "HOSPITAL FACILITIES"
The "Bus Service" in the University is going to be a possibility. The process for bringing in this service is being directed..
To top that, we are also trying to reform the dilapidated condition of the University Hospital by trying our best to install modern amenities.

In the recent days there has been a lot of hue and cry regarding the eligibility required for appearing in the betterment exams. As we all know that the candidates securing marks in between 50-55 are debarred from appearing in the the betterment exams as a result of which the students have to deal with the problem of not meeting the norms required for NET OR SLET. To resolve this issue, a petition has been filed today to the Academic Registrar with the sheer motive of resolving the issue for the betterment of the University students.

Good news for all the Varsitians :)
Since the inception, we the GU PGSU have been trying to sort out all the problems faced by Gauhati University. One of the principal problem being the dearth of pure drinking water in some departments and hostels.We are glad to announce that the administration have come in terms with the replacement of the old water purifiers and coolers with new ones in all the hostels and concerned departmental buildings. The new water coolers and purifiers will be installed soon.A small step towards a definitive beginning. The Quest is On...

The 23rd of Nov
We were privileged to have amongst us the renowned Ex. Director of AIIMS Dr. R.C. Deka and his wife Dr. Dipika Deka also of AIIMS. Had an interactive session regarding how our University can contribute towards the scope of development of Bio-Medical Researches and related matters. They also stressed on how such researches can contribute towards enlightening many spheres and walks of life in our society. Looking forward to have much more interactive sessions with such inspiring people through which all the Varsitians can reap equal benefits and gain inspiration as well.

What is a country without people similarly, what is a union without unity???
The Official Page of P.G.S.U 2015-16 has been created for many reasons, but one of the sole reason why this page has been created is because a Union has to make itself accessible to each and every one of you, Varsitians. Each one of us has an obligation to contribute towards the upliftment of the University in every way possible and this can only be achieved if everyone's constructive ideas can be shared. Through this page we plan to bring forward everyone's productive opinion in a common platform and channel it for a befitting cause. We can discuss upon various issues and help strengthen the Union to work much efficiently towards it. Everyone rightfully has a say, so let's upon up, let us know, let everyone know.

Moreover, the Varsitians can also keep track of all the works undertaken and all future endeavors to be embarked upon. So, let's bring on all such issues, work on it and help ourselves be a cause for the improvement of the University.
