The fresher party with of "Fresh wave : Ride the New" is organized by USC&E of Rayat Bahra Professional University to warmly welcome the new students into the academic family. The event aimed for creating a friendly and encouraging environment for the freshers as they begin their new journey.

The celebration began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing knowledge, positivity, and new beginnings. This was followed by an inspiring welcome speech by our respected Director Principal(USC&E) Dr. Gurjeet Singh, who addressed the gathering with enthusiasm and motivation. In his address, Dr. Singh extended a heartfelt welcome to all the freshers and highlighted the importance of discipline, dedication, and innovation in shaping a successful academic career. He encouraged students to make the best use of university resources and actively participate in various academic and co-curricular activities.

The program included cultural performances, music, dance, fun activities, and interactive sessions that helped the students connect with their seniors and faculty members. The lively environment created a sense of belonging and excitement among the newcomers.

Overall, the Fresher Party was a grand success, leaving the new students motivated and confident as they embark on their academic journey at Rayat Bahra Professional University. The event truly reflected the spirit of unity, celebration, and new beginnings.

*Expert Lecture on “Parts and features of cars (Automobile)”*

The Department of Mechanical Engineering in University School of Engineering (Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur), organized an enriching Expert Lecture on “Parts and features of cars (Automobile)”. The session was delivered by Mr. Hardeep singh an alumnus of RBIENT, Hoshiarpur and currently working at Nexa *Maruti*, Hoshiarpur as Senior Relationship manager & Mr. Narinder Singh (senior Training and development officer) who shared his valuable insights about modern automobile components, their functions, and the latest technological advancements in the automotive sector. This lecture was conducted for first year students Of BVOC - Automobile.A total of 35 students participated in the event with great enthusiasm. The lecture covered essential aspects such as professional ethics, workplace discipline, teamwork, communication, and knowledge about various car systems . The lecture was meticulously organized under the supervision of Dr. Gaurav Prashar, Head of Department (Mechanical Engineering), with Er. Hitesh Kumar serving as the coordinator for the session, ensuring smooth ex*****on and active engagement of students throughout the program. The event aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world automobile technology. The students actively interacted with the speaker, asking questions related to Automobile, placements, and career growth, making the session more engaging and impactful. A Community Project on the theme “Food Wastage Management and Say No to Single Use of Plastic” was conducted on 30th October 2025 at Village Bohan by the University School of Computing and Engineering under the able guidance of Dr. Gurjeet Singh, Director Principal of the University School of Computing and Engineering. The activity aimed to spread awareness about reducing food wastage and discouraging the use of single-use plastic to promote a cleaner and greener environment. A students from the Civil Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) departments participated actively, along with two faculty members — Er. Amit Kumar and Er. Jaswinder Kaur. The students engaged with local residents through awareness drives, discussions, and demonstrations of eco-friendly alternatives such as cloth bags and composting methods.
The project highlighted the importance of responsible consumption and sustainable living, emphasizing that small actions taken by individuals can lead to a significant positive impact on the environment. It encouraged participants and villagers alike to adopt simple yet effective measures to minimize food wastage and plastic pollution. Objective of the site visit:

2. To enhance understanding of technical aspects related to building construction and materials.
3. To familiarize students with site management and supervision techniques.
4. To help students correlate theoretical knowledge with field applications.
5. To observe the implementation of safety measures and quality control at the construction site.
6. To encourage interaction with field engineers and understand professional practices in construction.
Report Summary:
The Civil Engineering students of Rayat–Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur visited the IRIS Philanthropic Educational Society Construction Site, Hoshiarpur. During the visit, students observed the ongoing construction activities including foundation work, reinforcement placement, concrete mixing, curing process, and supervision methods followed at the site.

Objective of the Expert Lecture:
• To provide in-depth knowledge to Civil Engineering students about various types of pavement distresses.
• To explain the causes and contributing factors behind different pavement failures.
• To familiarize students with appropriate pavement maintenance and rehabilitation techniques.
• To bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical field applications in highway engineering.
• To enhance students’ understanding of pavement management systems and their real-world implementation
Report Summary:
The Civil Engineering Department USE RBPU Hoshiarpur, organized an expert lecture on the topic “Pavement Distress and Pavement Maintenance” delivered by Dr. Ankit Sharma. The session began with a warm welcome address by the Head of the Department.
Dr. Sharma shared his extensive knowledge and field experience, highlighting the causes of pavement failures, identification of distress patterns, and effective methods of maintenance and rehabilitation. He also discussed modern technologies and materials used in pavement maintenance with practical examples.
Students showed keen interest throughout the session and actively participated in the discussion. Students from all the semester (1st 2nd 3rd 4th) of the Civil Engineering Department attended the session with great enthusiasm.
