CBIT NSS Organizes Blood Donation Camp in Association with Lions Club Jubilee Hills
Hyderabad, April 9, 2026:
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT), in association with the Lions Club of Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, successfully organized a two-day Blood Donation Camp on April 8 and 9, 2026, at the CBIT campus.
The two-day camp witnessed an overwhelming response, with a total of 525 donors, including students and staff, voluntarily participating in the noble cause. The enthusiastic involvement reflects a strong sense of social responsibility and community spirit among the CBIT fraternity.
The primary objective of the initiative is to create awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and its life-saving significance. The camp was conducted under the supervision of qualified medical teams, ensuring safe and hygienic procedures along with proper screening and guidance for all donors.
Ln. N. Vijaya Lakshmi, General Secretary, Lions Club Jubilee Hills, visited the camp and conveyed her best wishes to the donors, appreciating their noble gesture. She was accompanied by Ln. Madhavi and Ln. Dharmendra Reddy, members of the Lions Club, who also encouraged participants and appreciated their contribution.
Dr. Sreedhar, NSS Faculty Coordinator, appreciated the participants for their selfless contribution and emphasized the vital role of youth in promoting humanitarian activities.
Prof. C. V. Narasimhulu, Principal of CBIT, lauded the efforts of the NSS unit and the Lions Club, stating that such initiatives instill a deep sense of social responsibility among students and contribute meaningfully to society.
The NSS coordinators and Lions Club representatives also encouraged continued participation in such service-oriented initiatives in the future.
