🎉 A Warm Welcome to Prof. Samadarshi Dutta
🎊 We are delighted to extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes to Prof. Samadarshi Dutta on his appointment as the Head of the Department of Screen Acting at Film and Television Institute of India Itanagar Campus, a northeast unit of the Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute.
💫 An alumnus of FTII, Pune, and educated at St Xavier’s College, Kolkata, Prof. Dutta brings with him nearly two decades of rich professional experience across films, television, OTT, and theatre with almost 100+ projects. His acclaimed body of work includes the National Award–winning feature film “Ami Adu”, while his film “Ichhee” has been preserved by the National Film Archive of India for its cultural and educational value.
🎬 He has also portrayed Rabindranath Tagore in “Jeevan Smriti”, a docu-fiction produced by the Government of India and directed by Rituparno Ghosh, and has contributed as a director to films and web shows.
✨ A dedicated mentor, Prof. Dutta has taught at FTII Pune, Tripura Film & Television Institute, and State Institute of Film & Television, Rohtak, inspiring young actors across the country.
