🌍✨ Celebrating Innovation for a Greener Tomorrow! ✨🌍
On the occasion of 2026, Dr. B. Lal Institute of Biotechnology, in association with the The National Academy Of Sciences, India (NASI), Rajasthan Chapter, successfully organised an Environment-Themed Startup Pitching Competition, bringing together young environmental innovators from schools, colleges, and universities.
With nearly 50 teams participating, the competition showcased groundbreaking ideas addressing climate action, waste management, sustainable agriculture, renewable resources, environmental monitoring, circular economy models, and eco-friendly technologies.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Professor H.N Verma, Pro-Chancellor & Pro-Chairperson, Jaipur National University and Guest of Honour Prof. Nirmal Lohiya, Senior Scientist & Secretary, NASI Rajasthan Chapter. The dignitaries were welcomed by Mr. Saksham Gupta, Director, Dr. B. Lal Institute of Biotechnology, who reiterated the institute’s commitment to fostering innovation-led solutions for environmental sustainability.
The competition was evaluated by an eminent jury comprising Mr. Jerry Joshy (Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell - MIC, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Headquarters), Dr. Nivedita Kaul, Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur, Dr. Sohan Lal (Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board), and Dr. Abhishek Soti (BlueDrop Enviro Pvt. Ltd.).
During the valedictory session, Dr. Aparna Datta, Executive Director & Principal, announced the winners and congratulated all participants for their commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable innovation. The winners were:

To support the journey from ideas to impact, the winning team from the School Category and the winning team from the College & University Category were each awarded an Incubation Grant of ₹25,000 along with one year of incubation support at the Incubation Centre, Dr. B. Lal Institute of Biotechnology.
The event reaffirmed the collective commitment of academia, scientific institutions, and young innovators toward creating sustainable solutions for a healthier, greener, and more resilient future. The event concluded with a plantation drive under the Government of India’s "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" initiative, reinforcing the collective commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable living.🌱♻️
