Students from 5th Semester of School of Woodworking Skills had a separate unit/course called Project Work of 5 credits in their present semester wherein, each student was given a task of conceptualising an idea along with time and cost estimate at the beginning of the semester. Each such project was then vetted by SWS team for its worthiness in terms of complexity, time and cost resource and their availability. One of the students projects is as under-

: RSLDC Representatives at SWS
Dr Neeraj K Pawan, Secretary Department of Skills Labour and Employment and Sh Prateek Jhajhariya MD, RSLDC, Government of Rajasthan visited SWS workshop on 04th June 2020. The guests showed keen interest in learning about the available facilities in the workshop and were very appreciative of the quality, health and safety aspects of installed systems.

: Online Training During Lockdown
The staff of SWS optimally utilised their time during lockdown to upgrade/update their knowledge through various online courses. Certificate courses in Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Convolution Neural Networks, Autocad Advanced, TCS-ION, Project Management and other topics have been completed and many others are in progress. In addition, online classes are being conducted on RM (Research Methodology), Advanced Carpenter Mathematics and Quality Control subjects.

: School of Woodworking Skills as Academic Partners of FFSC
The FFSC (Furniture and Fittings Skill Sector Council) has nominated SWS/BSDU as their academic partners. This paves the way for SWS to operate as Training providers/Training centers after getting due accreditation. The first batch of training for which BSDU could award a NSQF level 3 certificate has been mentioned above.
