Sankalp 2027 brought together JKLU’s entire leadership, The Vice Chancellor, Deans, Directors, and Heads across every function, for two days of deep strategic thinking, honest conversations, and decisive planning for the university’s next three years.

From academic excellence and research innovation to admissions, placements, infrastructure, and institutional rankings, every pillar of JKLU’s growth was put on the table, examined, and planned for with clarity and purpose.

Because building a university that truly prepares students for the future requires an institution that is constantly preparing itself.

The vision is set. The work begins now.

You cannot manufacture campus culture. You have to create the space for it and let the students take over.

The Design Launchpad cultural evening at JKLU was absolute proof of that.

The night started with an inspiring opening note from VC Sir and quickly turned into an unforgettable celebration. No formal agendas. Just pure energy.

The cohort brought everything they had. Singing, dancing, massive interactive games, and open stories across the room.

We wrapped up an incredible event sharing dinner and talking about everything except design.

A massive shoutout to everyone who brought the energy.

At Jaipur Design Week 2026, we celebrated many voices but one story stood out.

Mubassirah Khalid Khatri, the first female Ajrakh artisan and Forbes India 30 Under 30 honouree, was awarded the Emerging Designer Of The Year at JDW 2026, hosted by JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur.

Her work is not just about craft, it’s about breaking barriers, preserving heritage, and redefining what it means to be a designer in India today.

At JKLU, we believe design has the power to transform communities, challenge conventions, and tell stories that matter. Mubassirah’s journey is proof of exactly that.

We’re delighted to welcome Prof. Tapas Kumar as the Dean - Institute of Engineering & Technology at JKLU.

With 27+ years of experience across academic leadership, research, and industry collaboration, he brings deep expertise in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Medical Image Processing and Soft Computing.

Prior to JKLU, Prof. Kumar served as Associate Dean and Head of Department (Computer Science and Engineering) at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research & Studies.

Prof. Kumar earned his PhD in Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra and is currently pursuing postdoctoral research in the USA focusing on advanced medical imaging techniques.

A researcher with 75+ international publications, 700+ citations, h-index of 11 and multiple granted patents, Prof. Kumar has consistently contributed to advancing engineering education and innovation.

We look forward to his leadership in shaping the future of engineering at JKLU.
