Students of the PG Department of Computer Science & IT, Doaba College, Jalandhar, had an enriching industrial visit to Meander Software Solutions, Mohali. 💻✨

The visit provided valuable insights into software development, project management, and emerging technologies, helping students connect classroom learning with real-world IT practices.

Along with academic exposure, students also explored Chandigarh’s iconic Rock Garden and Sukhna Lake, making the trip both educational and refreshing. 🌿

Guided by dedicated faculty members, the visit turned out to be a perfect blend of learning, exploration, and memorable experiences.

𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐨𝐧 “𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐈-𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐛 𝐀𝐩𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬”

The PG Department of Computer Science & IT organized a workshop on “𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐈-𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐛 𝐀𝐩𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬” on 12 February 2026 in collaboration with 𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐒 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲 under the Institutional Innovation Council (IIC).

More than 60 students from BCA and B.Sc. IT participated enthusiastically. The session was conducted by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐀𝐤𝐡𝐢𝐥 𝐊𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐫 (𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐓 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫, 𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐒 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲), who demonstrated how to create an AI agent and convert it into a web app.

The workshop inspired students to explore AI technologies and develop practical skills for the future.

🎉 Fresher’s Party – Genesis 2025 🎉

The Computer Society, Doaba College Jalandhar, hosted a grand “Fresher’s Party – Genesis 2025” on 12th October 2025 at the Lady Aruna Paul Student Recreation Centre to warmly welcome the new batch of students! 💫

The celebration began with a heartfelt Ganesh Vandana by Palak (B.Sc. IT III), followed by an inspiring address from Dr. Pardeep Bhandari (Principal, Doaba College), who spoke about the power of Karma, Action, and Belief, motivating students to pursue their goals with positivity and dedication.

The event also marked the Installation and Oath Ceremony of the new Computer Society team. Congratulations to our newly elected office bearers:
Palak – President
Lakshay – Vice President
…and all other secretaries, joint secretaries & executive members who received their badges from our esteemed faculty members.

The evening was filled with energetic performances, fun games, and a dazzling ramp walk by our freshers! Himanshu from BCA Semester I was awarded the title of Mr. Fresher 2025, while Vibhuti from BCA Semester I earned the title of Ms. Fresher 2025. The event concluded with a warm Vote of Thanks by Lakshay, Senior Vice President, leaving everyone with joyful memories and smiling faces.

🚍✨ Educational Trip to Shri Mata Chintpurni & Bombay Picnic Spot! ✨🚍

On 22nd March 2025 (Saturday), the P.G. Department of Computer Science and Information Technology organized a memorable educational trip to Shri Mata Chintpurni and the beautiful Bombay Picnic Spot. The trip was designed to provide students with insights into the historical, religious, and cultural significance of these places.

The adventure began early in the morning, with 106 enthusiastic students gathering at 6:30 A.M. sharp at the college campus to board the bus. The students were accompanied by our dedicated faculty members: Dr. Opinder Singh, Asst. Prof. Sakshi, Asst. Prof. Harpreet Kaur, Asst. Prof. Manpreet, and Asst. Prof. Manit Singh.

The trip offered a wonderful blend of spiritual enrichment and recreational learning, allowing students to explore the rich cultural heritage of the region. It was an experience that left everyone feeling inspired and connected with history, culture, and nature.

A big thank you to all the faculty and students for making this trip a grand success! 🌟📚
