Learner’s Ability Management Programme (LAMP) in collaboration with Department of Education, University of Jammu organized XVIIth Orientation Session cm Workshop on the theme “Indigenous Toys of India” on Ist of May, 2023. Eminent resource person Prof. C.B Sharma graced the occasion and Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof. Umesh Rai was the Chief Patron of the conclave. The session was steered into action with the prayer by. Ms. Senorita. Dr. Ana Bali conducted the session and briefed the gathering about the previous sessions of LAMP held so far. Welcome address was given by Dr. Kajal Devi Manhas, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, University of Jammu. The profile of the eminent speaker was presented by Ms. Dyutima Kesar, Research Scholar, Department of Education. Prof. C.B Sharma discussed about the Handbook for the teachers proposed by the NCERT on toy-based learning and named it as “JADU KA PITARA”. He discussed that a set of toys should be created for the children to connect it to their curriculum by giving classic examples of hand-made toys from Andhra Pradesh. Different members present in the meeting deliberated and put forth their suggestions on how these indigenous toys of India can enter into the Indian classrooms and help children to learn from them. Exposure to variety of colors to the children, reaching out to the rural areas to understand the importance of local and indigenous toys in education of the children, teaching the concept from known to unknown, sensitization to the masses about significance of lost treasure of indigenous toys in learning etc. are some of the valuable suggestions that were given by the distinguished guests present. These members were from different institutions of UT of Jammu and Kashmir, namely Dr Monica Narang, Faculty, The Law School, Ms. Ashima Kaul, Independent Peace Practitioner, Changemaker and Journalist, Mr. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Senior Academic Officer, SCERT, Jammu, Mrs. Manju Bala, NGO Representative, Ms Avneet Kaur, Alumni, Department of Education and faculty members of the department including Dr. S.K Panda, Dr. Kajal Devi Manhas, Ms. Minakshy Choudhary, Dr. Ana Bali, Dr. Sheetal Sharma and Dr Anuradha Rani.

November 12,2022: LAMP in collaboration with Department of Education, University of Jammu organized XV Millenial Conclave on the theme " SPORTS COVERAGES ON RADIO" by illustrious speaker Sh.Nitish Arora, Programming Head, All India Radio, Delhi. The conclave was sprung into action with melodious rendition of prayer by Ms.Senorita, M.A student, Department of Education followed by sharing in detail all the conclaves and deliberations held by LAMP family by Dr.Ana Bali,Lecturer, Department of Education, University of Jammu. Ms.Neha Bandral ,M.Ed. student, Department of Education,expressed her gratitude towards all the guests amd eminent speaker for culling out time from their schedule and gracing the Conclave. The bio and profile of the resource person was presented by Dr.Pallavi Sachdeva, Assistant Professor, Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu. The illustrious speaker for the event Sh.Nitish Arora shared in detail his experiences on how his deep inclination towards sports and his love for games and sports led him to the world of Radio and coverages of sports events. Reminiscing of a local sport or wrestling called "CHHINJ" in Dogri ,he expressed his journey towards levelling up this local sport on the map of India by covering the same. He also shared various stories and anecdotes of how his love for sports paved way for him to acquire handsome job offers and salaries. He joyously and with pride shared his encounters with JAVELIN WONDER AND DIAMOND LEAGUE CHAMPION " NEERAJ CHOPRA", covered the whole event of Diamond League. Sh.Nitish Arora also replied to various queries and doubts of the participants during the Question -Answer Session, that was led by Mrs.Rakhi Attri,Senior Academic Officer, SCERT,Jammu. The concluding remarks were put forth by Prof.Renu Nanda, Head, Department of Education, University of Jammu,wherein she thanked the guest speaker for sharing their inspirational stories and radio coverages. Ms.Kiranjot kour,M.Ed student, Department of Education, presented the vote of thanks and the conclave was formally culminated.

On 31st of August, 2022, LAMP in collaboration with Department of Education, University of Jammu, organized XIV Millennial Conclave on the Theme “Media from the lens of a Journalist”, via blended mode. The programme was escorted into action with melodious prayer by Ms. Seneorita, followed by detailed elaboration of previous activities organized by LAMP by Dr. Ana Bali. The esteemed guests, resource person and all the attendees were formally welcomed by Ms. Mahima. She expressed her gratitude towards presence of the delegates for making out time from their busy schedule. Ms Tandeep Kour presented the profile of the resource person, Dr. Alka Sharma, Member, Counseling Cell, Directorate of school Education, Jammu and Dr. Ana Bali presented virtual bouquet to the resource person. Many distinguished members were present from various departments of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir; eminent professors from different parts of the country also have ensured their presence. Research scholars and students from various institutions were also among participants. The discussion revolved around the importance of media in changing the lives of the people; journalism- its purpose and core values like accountability, truth and accuracy, fairness and impartiality, humanity, etc; how the proliferation of the internet and smart phones has brought significant changes to the media landscape since the turn of the 21st century; educational journalism; social media. Question-Answer session was conducted by Ms Dyutima Kesar in which various queries were addressed by the resource person. Concluding remarks were given by Prof. (Dr.) Renu Nanda, Head, PG Department of Education, University of Jammu. At last, vote of thanks was proposed by Ms Saksh*ta.

On 30th July 2022 (Saturday), LAMP in collaboration with Department of Education, University of Jammu , Organised XIIlth Millennial Conclave on the theme " Seeking Happiness in Modern context". The session was started with the prayer by Ms Senorita. Welcome adress was given by Ms Zaheen,and Dr.Ana Bali briefly introduce about the previous sessions of LAMP. Ms Senorita presented the profile of the resource person and Dr. Ana Bali presented virtual bouquet to the resource person, Prof. Umesh Chander Vashishtha (Prof. of Education , University of Lucknow).Many distinguished members were present from the various departments of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir, Eminent professors from different parts of the country and outside the country were present there. Participants from various colleges of Education, Research scholars and students from various institutions and others working in government schools, colleges and higher education departments were also there. The discussion revolved around the seeking happiness in modern context, role of genetic and environment in shaping the human nature ,characteristics of happines etc. Happiness is balance between body,mind and soul. The session was started with the prayer by Ms Avneet Kour and Ms Senorita, Welcome adress was given by Mrs Sita Anand ,liason officer GZSAC Universityof Jammu,and Dr.Ana Bali briefly introduce about the previous sessions of LAMP. Mrs Rakhi Atri ,Senior Academic officer SCERT Jammu presented the profile of the resource person and Dr. Ana Bali presented virtual bouquet to the resource person, Prof.Manoj .K.Dhar (Former Vice chancellor of UniversityofJammu).Many distinguished members were present from the various departments of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir, Eminent professors from different parts of the country and outside the country were present there. On 30st of April 2022, LAMP in collaboration with department of Education, University of Jammu, organized Xth Millennial Conclave on theme “Nomadism and Modernity: locating Bakarwal in current education system”. The session started with the prayer by Miss. Seneorita, Welcome Address was given by Miss. Mansi Sharma and a brief introduction of previous sessions of LAMP was given by Dr. Ana Bali. Profile presentation of the guest speaker was presented by Dr. Sapna Sangra. Virtual bouquet was presented to the Guest Speaker of the Conclave Dr. Bhat Iqbal Majeed, Assistant Professor, Department of Social work Central University of Jammu. Eminent Professors from different part of the country and outside the country were there. Participants from Various colleges of education, Research Scholars, Students from various institutions and other working in government schools, colleges and higher education departments were also present. Major highlight of the session was nomadic lifestyle, mobility of nomadic, history of nomadic tribes, nomadic scenario in Jammu and Kashmir, Hindrances faced by nomadic people in getting education, quality concern of school education and mainstreaming of out of school children belonging to nomadic community.

On 31st of March 2022, LAMP in collaboration with department of Education, University of Jammu, organized IXth Millennial Conclave on theme “The Art of Teaching”. The session started with the prayer by Miss. Seneorita, Welcome Address was given by Miss. Bhoomika Jamwal and a brief introduction of previous sessions of LAMP was given by Dr. Anna Bali. Virtual bouquet was presented to the Guest Speaker of the Conclave Prof. N. Panchanatham Vice Chancellor Tamil Nadu Teacher Education University. Eminent Professors from different part of the country and outside the country were there. Participants from Various colleges of education, Research Scholars, Students from various institutions and other working in government schools, colleges and higher education departments were also present. Major highlight of the session was dedicated teaching is an Art, Teaching is 24/7 job, preparation is must for good teaching, pedagogy adopted by the teacher in teaching matters a lot, innovative thinking develops professional skills among the teachers, learning by doing, and experiential learning are the essential elements of the art of teaching. After the motivational interaction by the resource person concluding remarks were given by Prof. (Dr.) Renu Nanda, Head and Dean, Faculty of Education, University of Jammu. The session started with the prayer by Seneorita, welcome address and brief introduction of previous sessions of LAMP was given by Dr. Anna Bali. Virtual bouquet was presented to the Guest of the conclave Mr. Naresh Sharma Director The Strings Jammu. Many distinguished members were present from the various departments of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir, Eminent professors from different part of the country and outside the country were there. Participants from various colleges of education, Research scholars, students from various institutes and others working in government schools, colleges and higher education departments were also present. The session started with the melodious rendition on flute by the resource person. The life struggles and experiences of his life journey starting from Chenani, Udhampur all the way to Chicago were shared by the resource person which was highly encouraging and motivating for the participants.
