Online Quiz Event Organized at GDC Marh under 100 Days Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan on 17-06-2026. Government Degree College (GDC) Marh organized an Online Quiz Event under the 100 Days Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan with the objective of assessing and enhancing awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse. The event was organized by Ms. Anjana Chib and Dr. Farzana Choudhary in collaboration with the College Wellbeing and Anti-Substance Cell under the able guidance of Prof. Ramneek Kaur, Principal, GDC Marh. Students participated enthusiastically and displayed keen interest in the quiz, reflecting their awareness and commitment towards building a drug-free society. The event served as an effective platform to educate students about the dangers of substance abuse and to encourage them to adopt a healthy, responsible, and drug-free lifestyle.
Prof. Ramneek Kaur appreciated the active participation of the students and the efforts of the organizers. She emphasized that awareness-based activities such as quizzes play an important role in educating youth and strengthening the collective fight against drug abuse. The college remains committed to organizing such initiatives to contribute towards the success of the 100 Days Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan and to promote a healthier society.

Slogan Writing Event Organized at GDC Marh under 100 Days Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan on 16-06-2026. Government Degree College (GDC) Marh organized an online Slogan Writing Event under the 100 Days Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse. The event was organized by Ms. Anjana Chib and Dr. Farzana Choudhary in collaboration with the College Wellbeing and Anti-Substance Cell under the able guidance of Prof. Ramneek Kaur, Principal, GDC Marh.Students participated enthusiastically and expressed their views through creative and impactful slogans promoting a drug-free society. The slogans carried powerful messages such as “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life” and “Nasha Mukt Bharat – A Healthy and Prosperous Nation.” The event provided an opportunity for students to contribute meaningfully to the anti-drug awareness campaign through their creativity and expression. Prof. Ramneek Kaur appreciated the efforts of the organizers and participants and emphasized the importance of such awareness activities in sensitizing youth about the dangers of substance abuse. She highlighted the need for collective efforts to build a healthy, responsible, and drug-free society.

Awareness Programme on Teacher Training for Drug Abuse Prevention Organized at GDC Marh under 100 Days Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan on 15-06-2026. As part of the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan, College well-being and anti-substance cell of Government Degree College Marh organized an awareness programme aimed at equipping teachers with knowledge and strategies to address substance abuse issues among students.

The session was coordinated by Dr. Rahul Sharma. During the session, Dr. Sharma delivered a digital presentation titled “Student Drug & Alcohol Abuse Awareness”, highlighting the psychological factors that often lead to addiction, including peer pressure, boredom, stress, and emotional distress. He emphasized that substance abuse is never a solution to life’s challenges.

The session also focused on the physical and psychological effects of various addictive substances, including alcohol, ma*****na, he**in, co***ne, methamphetamine, ecstasy, L*D, mushrooms, and prescription stimulants. Participants were sensitized to the warning signs of substance abuse and the long-term health consequences associated with addiction. The importance of collective efforts by educational institutions, families, communities, and government agencies in creating a drug-free environment was also underscored.

The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, allowing participants to discuss concerns and share perspectives on effective prevention strategies. The programme was attended by Dr. Imtiaz Shahid, Dr. Madhvi Prashar, Dr. Ashu Jolly, Dr. Ram Dayal, Dr. Balvinder Saini, Mr. Sachin, Dr. Shakun Sharma, Mr. Ravi Kumar, and Mr. Kewal. The event was successfully organized under the guidance of Prof. Ramneek Kaur, Principal, Government Degree College Marh.

The Eco-Club, NSS, and NCC Units of Government Degree College, Marh celebrated World Environment Day under the theme "Rethinking Our Systems and Repairing Our Relationship with the Climate." The initiative aimed to inculcate a sense of responsibility and belongingness towards the environment among students and to encourage positive behavioural changes for environmental conservation. Students enthusiastically participated in the programme and expressed their views through poems, messages, posters, and slogans highlighting the importance of environmental protection and sustainable living. The event provided a platform for students to showcase their creativity and commitment towards safeguarding nature.

A 7-Day Healthy Lifestyle Challenge was organized by Government Degree College Marh under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan. The initiative aimed to promote healthy living and raise awareness about the harmful effects of drugs, to***co, and alcohol among students and the community. The challenge focused on a different wellness theme each day. Activities included taking a drug-free pledge, engaging in physical exercise, following healthy eating habits, practicing meditation and mindfulness, promoting social responsibility, participating in sports and recreational activities, and reflecting on personal health goals. Participants were encouraged to stay active, eat nutritious food, maintain mental well-being, build positive social connections, and commit to a drug-free lifestyle.

The program was organized by College Well-being and Anti-substance cell under the able guidance of Prof. Ramneek Kaur, Principal of the college. The challenge emphasized the message “Choose Health, Reject Drugs, Live Your Best Life” and encouraged students to make small daily changes for a healthier future.
