Indian Institute of Managment Jammu concluded Yuva Sangam Phase 6 on 18 May 2026 under the aegis of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The programme stood as a powerful celebration of cultural exchange, experiential learning, and national integration, bringing together a Kerala delegation for an immersive journey across the rich cultural, educational, historical, and social landscape of Jammu & Kashmir. The valedictory ceremony was presided over by Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu.
Held at the Mandapam Auditorium, the valedictory ceremony reflected IndiaтАЩs vibrant diversity through cultural performances, academic immersion at the Academic Block and Nalanda Library, and meaningful engagements that strengthened people-to-people connections. The event highlighted the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and the role of youth in nation-building.
The ceremony commenced with an energetic band display and Hornpipe Dance performance by Sainik School Nagrota students, followed by vibrant cultural presentations showcasing Kashmiri and Dogra traditions by students from Government High School Dhami, Government Higher Secondary School Kol Kandoli Nagrota, Government College for Women Parade, and HEE Maa Public School Dhami Jagti. These performances beautifully reflected the artistic vibrancy and cultural heritage of the region, fostering cultural understanding, experiential learning, emotional integration, and youth connectivity across the nation.
As part of the programme, Kerala Delegation shared reflections on тАЬEk Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,тАЭ highlighting cultural appreciation, diversity, heritage learning, and meaningful experiences across Jammu & Kashmir. The Kerala delegation described Yuva Sangam as a transformative journey marked by learning, friendship, cultural immersion, and personal growth, noting that even the train journey became a space for dialogue, reflection, and lasting bonds.
The delegation expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Education, Government of India; IIM Jammu and IIM Kozhikode for the opportunity to explore Jammu & Kashmir, engage with local communities, and visit iconic destinations including Bagh-e Bahu, Patnitop, Nathatop, Mansar Lake, Surinsar Lake View Point, Amar Mahal Palace, and IGNCA Regional Centre, Jammu, while deeply appreciating the warmth and hospitality of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The valedictory ceremony concluded with certificate distribution, marking the completion of a transformative journey of learning, friendship, and cultural integration and unity. Students from Government High School Dhami appreciated the enriching learning environment at the institute, while Sainik School Nagrota students shared their inspiring and memorable experiences.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by Prof. (Brigadier) (Retd.) Neeraj Soni, Chairperson, Student Affairs & Nodal Officer; Prof. Shyam Narayan Lal, Chairperson, Anandam; Prof. Sanchar Sarkar, Nodal Officer, IIM Kozhikode and Cmdr. Kesavan Baskkaran (R), Chief Administrative Officer, along with faculty members, officials, and students from both institutions.
A plantation drive, тАЬEk Ped Maa Ke Naam,тАЭ was also conducted as part of the programme, reinforcing the spirit of environmental responsibility. The Kerala delegation from IIM Kozhikode also met the Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director and presented a memento as a gesture of gratitude and remembrance.
