Government Polytechnic Jammu organized a one day Technical/ Field visit for the students of 3rd and 5th semester Instrumentation and control Engineering department to U Flex pvt. ltd. Unit 3 located at Baribrahmana industrial area under the guidance of Er. Arun Bangotra Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu and Jasdeep kour HOD I&C engineering. The main objective of this Field visit was to provide a Technical experience of the work atmosphere of plant for practical exposure to the industrial environment

Seminar cm Presentation session on topic "Industrial automation" was organized by Instrumentation and control Engineering department of Government Polytechnic Jammu in collaboration with Race automation Jammu under the guidance of Er. Arun Bangotra Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu and Er. Jasdeep Kour H.O.D instrumentation and control Engineering. Er Ashok verma coordinated the said event and gave welcome speech and explain students regarding job opportunities in the field of industrial automation. Er Monik kapoor and Er Dev sawhney were industrial Experts from race automation and the resource Person for the Seminar. The sessions involves discussions, presentations, and demonstrations on the use of advanced technologies, systems, and equipment to control and optimize industrial processes with minimal human intervention. The seminar is usually attended by faculty/ staff and students to stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and applications in automation.
Key Components of the Seminar:
1. Introduction to Industrial Automation:- Definition and importance of automation in industries.Historical development and current trends. Benefits: increased efficiency, safety, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.

Review Meeting of Academic(ND-24 Session) of ARCHITECTURE ASSISTANTSHIP Department was conducted. Principal Government Polytechnic College Er. Arun Bangotra chaired a comprehensive academic review meeting of ARCHITECTURE for the ND-24 session with the Faculty/staff to evaluate the academic progress of Department and plan for improvements. Red Ribbon Club of Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk, Jammu in collaboration with J&K State AIDS Control society today organized a Poster making competition and Rangoli competition in the institution to commemorate the Worlds AIDS Day – 2024 in which more than 100 students participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm and expressed their thoughts through Posters and Rangoli. Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal Govt. Polytechnic Jammu interacted with the students and educate them regarding how to combat with the disease. The theme of the competition was "Take the Right Path".
The main aim for the event was to make the students aware that HIV continues to be global health concern due to a number of shortcomings, including division, inequality and contempt for human rights and we need to aware the masses for the same. After that the certificate were distributed among the winners and the participants for their volunteer participation to eradicate HIV-AIDS from the society. During this event Er. Inderjeet Singh Workshop Superintendent, Er Sukhdeep Singh HOD Civil Engineering Department, Er. Manjeet Singh HOD Electrical Department, Er. Raj Kumar HOD Mechanical Department were present. Two days free eye checkup camp was organised by college in collaboration with SHAH EYE CENTRE under the guidance of Er. Arun Bangotra in which the students of all the semester and faculty of college got their free eyes check up. The camp was coordinated by Er.Amit gupta, civil department), Ar.Saba sheikh, Manu rajput Architecture department, Er.Vishal sharma Mechanical department, Sh.Chamel singh physical education master, Mrs.Toshi devi Physical education master. Students were made well aware about the problems and their solutions faced with regarding their eyes. Students thanked the college administration for such camps which help the students in their overall smooth development with respect to their studies and health.

Today worthy Principal Er. Arun Bangotra sir took a review meeting with the staff of Travel and tourism department for the session ND 2024. All the agenda points were discussed with the incharge Department Mr. Amit kumar sharma along with the faculty. Principal sir was satisfied with the working of the faculty and apprised to give first hand industry exposure to students as per the demand of the curriculum.
