🎓The farewell celebration 2026 at Government Polytechnic for Women Jammu was organized on 15-05-2026 with great enthusiasm, joy, and emotional warmth to bid a memorable farewell to the outgoing final-year students. The event turned into a beautiful blend of celebration, appreciation, talent, and togetherness, leaving unforgettable memories in the hearts of everyone present.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome of the dignitaries, staff members, and students from all departments. The entire campus atmosphere was filled with excitement and festivity as students gathered to celebrate the achievements and journey of their seniors. The beautifully decorated venue reflected the spirit of the occasion and added elegance to the celebration.
The Principal, Er. Neelanjana Manwati, addressed the gathering with an inspiring and heartfelt speech. She congratulated the final-year students for successfully completing an important phase of their academic journey and encouraged them to move forward with confidence, dedication, and positivity. She appreciated the efforts of the faculty members and students for organizing such a vibrant and meaningful event. Her motivating words inspired the students to work hard, dream big, and contribute positively to society and their respective professions.
The farewell function witnessed enthusiastic participation from the staff and students of all departments, making the event truly grand and inclusive. One of the major attractions of the event was the energetic dance performances presented by the students of the 2nd and 4th semesters. Another highlight of the celebration was the impressive showcase by the Textile department students and faculty members. The students proudly presented self-made designer dresses prepared through their creativity, technical skills, and hard work. The collection displayed elegance, innovation, and artistic excellence, receiving immense appreciation from the audience. The efforts of the Textile department reflected the practical learning and talent nurtured at the institution.
The programme also included moments of laughter, emotions, music, and interaction among juniors, seniors, and faculty members. Final-year students shared their experiences and cherished memories of college life, expressing gratitude towards their teachers and friends for their support and guidance throughout the years.
The farewell function concluded on a joyful and emotional note with wishes for a bright and successful future for the outgoing students. 🇮🇳📱💻📡🔬🚀On the occasion of National Technology Day, Government Polytechnic for Women Jammu celebrated the day with great enthusiasm and academic spirit under the able guidance of Principal Er. Neelanjana Manwati. The programme was organized with the objective of creating awareness among students about the growing importance of technology and its responsible use in the field of education and society.The event commenced with an inspiring address by Principal Er. Neelanjana Manwati, who highlighted the significance of National Technology Day and emphasized the vital role of technology in national development, innovation, and education. She encouraged the students to make constructive and ethical use of modern technology and stressed the importance of digital awareness and discipline in academic institutions. As part of the celebration, a group discussion was organized on the topics, “Should Mobile Phones be Banned in Colleges?” and “Digital Literacy.” The discussion witnessed enthusiastic participation from students belonging to different departments. The participants confidently shared their perspectives, presenting logical arguments both in favour of and against the use of mobile phones in colleges. The students also discussed the increasing importance of digital literacy in today’s fast-changing technological era and highlighted how digital knowledge is essential for academic growth, communication, and career development.The activity provided a valuable platform for students to enhance their communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and public speaking confidence.The programme was successfully coordinated by Ms. Vidhu Gupta, Lecturer A/A, English, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth and effective conduct of the event.

✍️Government Polytechnic for Women has launched its Admission Awareness Campaign for the academic session 2026–27 to inform students and parents about the various diploma courses, infrastructure, scholarships, and career opportunities available at the institution.
Principal Er. Neelanjana Manwati highlighted that the institution offers three-year diploma programmes in Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Office Management & Computer Applications (OMCA), Textile Design, and Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT).
She emphasized the institution’s modern infrastructure, including well-equipped laboratories, smart classrooms, computer labs, library facilities, and skill-based training aimed at the overall development of students.
The Principal also informed about various government scholarship schemes and financial assistance available for deserving and economically weaker students to promote technical education among girls.
Speaking about career prospects, she stated that diploma holders have opportunities for employment in government and private sectors, industries, hospitals, IT companies, and laboratories, besides options for higher studies and entrepreneurship.
She encouraged students to take advantage of the quality technical education and career-oriented training provided by the institution.

The program commenced with a formal address by the Principal, who highlighted the significance of Labour Day and emphasized the dignity of labor. ✍️A poster-making and rangoli competition was successfully organized at Government Polytechnic for Women, Jammu (GPWJ) under the theme “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.” The event aimed to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of substance abuse and to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
The programme commenced with an inspiring address by the Principal, Er. Neelanjana Manwati, who emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in building a drug-free society. She encouraged students to actively participate in such initiatives and become ambassadors of positive change within their communities.
Students showcased their creativity and awareness through vibrant posters and intricately designed rangolis, all reflecting the theme effectively. Their enthusiastic participation highlighted a strong commitment towards spreading the message of a “Nasha Mukt Bharat.”
In addition to the competitions, a pledge and a rally was also organized within and around the campus. A one-week training programme on "Basic Computer Skills" concluded at Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Jammu. The training programme was organised for the employees of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), Katra to augment and strengthen the skills of the employees. The training programme started w.e.f. 20-04-2026 to 25-04-2026 . The programme was conducted in the Department of Computer Engineering and organized under the guidance of Er. Neelanjana Manwati, Principal of the institution. Training certificates were distributed by Principal among the participants of the training programme. Others present on the occasion were Er. Kamal Kumar (HOD Textile),Er. Rajani Balla ( Demonstrator Computer) and Er. Urvashi Gupta (Demonstrator Computer).
