📚Glimpses of Teacher’s Day Celebration

The students of Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Arka Jain University, Jamshedpur (Jharkhand) celebrated Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm and warmth. The students made the occasion truly special through their beautiful celebration filled with smiles, love, respect, gratitude, and cherished memories!

The celebration was graced by the Respected Dean of the School of Humanities, Head of the Department of English, Head of the Department of Fashion Design, and esteemed faculty members from the School of Humanities. Their presence added to the warmth and significance of the occasion.

The Dean, Heads, and faculty members extended their blessings and best wishes to the students, encouraging them to move forward with confidence and work towards a bright and successful future.

The Department extends heartfelt appreciation to all the students for making Teacher’s Day so memorable and for celebrating the beautiful Guru-Shishya bond with such love, respect, and gratitude.

The School of Humanities and School of Allied Health Sciences, in association with the NSS Cell and Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems (CIKS), organised a visit to the tribal village of Chenjora as part of the Students' Induction Program. The visit aimed to help students learn about and appreciate tribal culture, heritage, and traditional art.

During the visit, students participated in a Paitkar Painting workshop and also visited the Tribal Museum.

The visit concluded with a traditional tribal dance, giving students an opportunity for experiential learning and a closer understanding of tribal traditions.

Our JMC students Ayush and Aditi had the wonderful opportunity to interview Mr. Anand Kumar, Founder of Super 30, during his campus visit.

🎥 The interview was conducted at the JMC Studio, giving our students valuable hands-on experience in professional interviewing, question framing, studio presentation and media production.

Such opportunities allow our students to move beyond the classroom and experience journalism in a real-world environment.

Arka Jain University has started its five-day Orientation and Induction Programme 2026 for newly admitted students of English, Journalism & Mass Communication, Fashion Design, Optometry, and Biotechnology.

The first day featured inspiring sessions by Dr. R. S. Dayal, Former Head, Department of English and Cultural Studies, Kolhan University, and Dr. S. P. Jakhanwal, Chief Secretary and Superintendent, Jamshedpur Eye Hospital.

Dr. Dayal encouraged students to develop new skills and prepare themselves for the changing professional world. Dr. Jakhanwal highlighted the growing need for skilled optometrists and encouraged students to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies.

Dr. Rahul Amin, Dean, School of Humanities and Head, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Arka Jain University, welcomed the students and emphasized the importance of discipline, hard work, knowledge, skills, and becoming a good human being.

The students were also addressed and motivated by Dr. Jyotirmay Sahoo, Dean, School of Allied Science, Ms. Usha Kiran Barla, Head, Department of Fashion Design; Dr. Rajkumari Ghosh, Head, Department of English; Mr. Sarbojeet Goswami, Head, Department of Optometry; and Dr. Santosh Singh, Head, Department of Biotechnology.

The event was graced by Honourable Dignitaries, Deans, Heads of Departments, Programme Coordinators, faculty members, and students.

The five-day programme features academic, motivational, and creative activities to help students understand university life and begin their academic journey with confidence and enthusiasm.

The programme featured the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by vibrant cultural performances that reflected the spirit of unity and patriotism. The NCC cadets presented an impressive parade, adding to the grandeur of the celebration. The special address by the honourable dignitaries further inspired everyone with a message of patriotism, responsibility and commitment towards the nation.
