Glimpses of the visit of our illustrious alumnus, Er. Manish Srivastava (Alumnus 2001-2005 Batch), Director & CEO, GDP Churn pvt. Ltd. SKYFOX and CBE India (16th, September 2023): He delivered Expert talk on “Bitsize Innovation”. A MoU was also signed between his organization and B.U., Jhansi. बुंदेलखंड विश्वविद्यालय में इन्स्टिट्यूट ऑफ फूड टेक्नोलॉजी तथा डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ फूड टेक्नोलॉजी, अभियांत्रिकी संस्थान, बु. वि. द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से आयोजित कार्यक्रम में विश्वविद्यालय के बी० टेक० (फ़ूड टेक्नोलॉजी) के 2001-2005 बैच के पुरातन छात्र इंजी० मनीष श्रीवास्तव, डायरेक्टर एंड सी० ई० ओ० - जी० डी० पी० चर्न प्राइवेट लिमिटेड,स्काई फॉक्स तथा सी० बी० ई० इंडिया द्वारा "बिटसाइज इनोवेशन” विषय पर व्याख्यान दिया गया तथा विश्वविद्यालय के विद्यार्थियों के लिए कंपनी के द्वारा कई पुरस्कारों तथा योजनाओं की घोषणा की गयी। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत विभागाध्यक्ष, इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ फूड टेक्नोलॉजी, प्रोफेसर शिव कुमार कटियार द्वारा अतिथियों के स्वागत भाषण से की गयी तथा कार्यक्रम की रूपरेखा से अवगत कराया गया। तत्पश्चात डॉ. रवि कुमार, समन्वयक- फूड टेक्नोलॉजी इंजीनियरिंग विभाग द्वारा फ़ूड टेक्नोलॉजी इंजी विभाग की प्रगति तथा उपलब्धियों के बारे में बताया गया। इसके पश्चात बुंदेलखंड विश्वविद्यालय, झाँसी तथा जी० डी० पी० चर्न प्राइवेट लिमिटेड के बीच ‘एम्० ओ० यू०’ साइन किया गया। विश्वविद्यालय के माननीय कुलपति प्रो० मुकेश पांडे जी को कम्पनी द्वारा "इनोवेशन लीडरशिप अवार्ड" से सम्मानित किया गया तथा विश्वविद्यालय के मंचासीन गणमान्य अतिथियों, शिक्षकों तथा फ़ूड टेक्नोलॉजी विभाग के टॉपर छात्र- छात्राओं को उपहार तथा प्रमाण पत्र प्रदान किया गया। पुरस्कार पाने वाले छात्र- छात्राओं में बी० टेक० (फूड इंजी० एंड टेक्नोलॉजी) के शिवानी गुप्ता, प्रिया गुप्ता, गौरांगना सिंह, अंशिका प्रजापति, बी० एस० सी० (फ़ूड टेक्नोलॉजी) के हरिप्रिया बजाज, पलक पांडे, अक्षा मोहम्मदी तथा एम्० एस० सी० (फ़ूड टेक्नोलॉजी) के सृष्टि मोदी तथा प्रियंका तिवारी रहे। इंजी० मनीष श्रीवास्तव द्वारा विश्विद्यालय के फ़ूड टेक्नोलॉजी के उत्कृष्ट छात्र-छात्राओं के प्रोत्साहन हेतु 'मनीष श्रीवास्तव रोलिंग ट्रॉफी' तथा 21000/- रु० के पुरस्कार तथा टॉपर शोध छात्र-छात्राओं हेतु रु० 10000/- प्रतिमाह के स्कॉलशिप की घोषणा की गयी। विश्वविद्यालय के माननीय कुलपति प्रो० मुकेश पांडे द्वारा विश्वविद्यालय के पुरातन छात्र द्वारा विद्यार्थियों के लिए किये गए इस प्रयास की बहुत सराहना की गयी तथा पुरस्कृत छात्र- छात्राओं के बधाई दी गयी। इस अवसर पर डॉ. शुभांगी निगम, डॉ नूपुर गौतम, डॉ. नम्रता, इंजी अंजली श्रीवास्तव, मिस प्रज्ञा चौहान, इंजी. स्मिता शंखवार,इंजी श्रद्धा त्रिपाठी मिस्टर मनीष तथा मिस्टर चौधरी मोहम्मद कासिम उपस्थित रहे।

"World Food Safety Day-2023 Celebration"- 07 June 2023:
बुंदेलखंड विश्वविद्यालय में विश्व खाद्य सुरक्षा दिवस पर विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन: बुंदेलखंड विश्वविद्यालय में विश्व खाद्य सुरक्षा दिवस के अवसर पर इन्स्टिट्यूट ऑफ फूड टेक्नोलॉजी तथा डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ फूड टेक्नोलॉजी, अभियांत्रिकी संस्थान, बु. वि. द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से विभिन्न कार्यक्रम आयोजित किये गए। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत “खाद्य सुरक्षा जागरूकता रैली” के शुभारंभ से की गयी जिसे प्रोफेसर सुनील काबिया, आइ.टी.एच.एम. संस्थान, बुंदेलखंड विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा उद्बोधन के उपरान्त फ्लैग ऑफ किया गया। तत्पश्चात फूड एनालिस्ट डॉ. ए. पी. सिंह, फूड एनालिस्ट विनोद कुमार, तथा फूड एनालिस्ट अतुल भास्कर के द्वारा खाद्य एवं औषधि प्रशासन विभाग की ‘मोबाइल फूड टेस्टिंग लैब’ में विभिन्न प्रयोगशाला परीक्षणों के माध्यम से खाद्य पदार्थों में मिलावट पहचानने का प्रशिक्षण दिया गया। इसके उपरान्त विश्व खाद्य सुरक्षा 2023 की थीम “फूड स्टैंडर्ड्स सेव लाइव” पर सेमिनार का आयोजन किया गया जिसका प्रारंभ विभागाध्यक्ष, इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ फूड टेक्नोलॉजी, प्रोफेसर शिव कुमार कटियार द्वारा अतिथियों के स्वागत भाषण से किया गया। कार्यक्रम के मुख्यअतिथि सहायक आयुक्त - खाद्य एवं औषधि प्रशासन विभाग, झाँसी, चितरंजन कुमार द्वारा ‘खाद्य एवं औषधि प्रशासन विभाग’ तथा ‘भारतीय खाद्य सुरक्षा एवं मानक प्राधिकरण’ द्वारा खाद्य सुरक्षा के बारे में चलाई जाने वाली विभिन्न जागरूकता संबंधित कार्यक्रमों तथा योजनाओं की जानकारी दी गई। कार्यक्रम के विशिष्ट अतिथि चीफ फूड सेफ्टी ऑफिसर, खाद्य एवं औषधि प्रशासन विभाग, झाँसी, एन. के. सिंह, द्वारा खाद्य पदार्थों में मिलावट तथा खाद्य सुरक्षा के संबंध में व्याख्यान दिया गया। फूड सेफ्टी ऑफिसर, सुमान्शु सचान द्वारा खाद्य पदार्थों में मिलावट तथा उनसे बचाव के संबंध में विभिन्न महत्वपूर्ण तथ्यों की जानकारी दी गयी। कार्यक्रम का संचालन डॉ. नूपुर गौतम, एसोसिएट प्रोफेसर, इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ फूड टेक्नोलॉजी द्वारा किया गया तथा आभार डॉ. रवि कुमार, समन्वयक- फूड टेक्नोलॉजी इंजीनियरिंग विभाग द्वारा व्यक्त किया गया। इस अवसर पर विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं का भी आयोजन किया गया। स्लोगन प्रतियोगिता में श्रृष्टि मोदी तथा अंजना देवी (एम. एस. सी. - फ़ूड टेक.) को प्रथम स्थान, ऋतिक कुमार (एम. एस. सी. - फ़ूड टेक.) को द्वितीय स्थान तथा हर्षित और संदीप (बी. एस. सी. - फ़ूड टेक.) को तृतीय स्थान प्राप्त हुआ।क्विज प्रतियोगिता में अंकिता परिहार (एम. एस. सी. - फ़ूड टेक.) को प्रथम, रोहित अग्रवाल (एम. एस. सी. - फ़ूड टेक.) को द्वितीय तथा नैंसी रॉय, शिखा वर्मा, अनिकेत राजपूत (एम. एस. सी. - फ़ूड टेक.) को तृतीय स्थान मिला। इस अवसर पर डॉ. नम्रता, डॉ. शुभांगी निगम, मिस प्रज्ञा चौहान, इंजी. स्मिता शंखवार, मिस्टर मनीष तथा मिस्टर चौधरी मोहम्मद कासिम उपस्थित रहे।

Tech. (Food Engg. & Technology) students.

Glimpses of STARTUP DAY CELEBRATION-2022 on 7th October, 2022 with Er. Krishna Yadav, Owner, KCP Snacks, Jhansi (Alumnus of Batch 2013-2017) who delivered an expert talk on "Startup & Entrepreneurship development" organized by Dept. of Food Engg. & Tech. and AFSTE, IET, BU. Er. Krishna Yadav started his talk with direct emphasis on the startup & entrepreneurship and new job creation opportunities for the youths. He further added about launch of Stand up India campaign and its benefits. He also focused on the promotional schemes of government for involving women towards entrepreneurship. This programme is a big help to all the talented startups to look so far to lead India.
He further added that he has completed his education from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi and after that began to think about startups in food. He guided students about the wide scope of startups in food sector as it is the only sector who has large demand all the time all over the world and specially in bakery, snacks etc. are good areas for startup. Also, he gave advice regarding developing applications for food delivery and online promotion for the companies. He discussed about the process to get investors for the startups and also guided the students about the incubation centers being run by government bodies to boost the startup ideas. Students felt highly motivated and inspired by his talk.

(Food Engineering & Technology) have got tablets in "Digital Empowerment" program under "Tablet/Smartphone distribution scheme of Govt. of uttar pradesh on 09/05/2022. The distribution was done by the Chief Guest- Shri Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Hon'ble Union Minister of State, M.S.M.E., Govt. of India and Guest of Honour Shri Anurag Sharma, Member of Parliament, Jhansi-Lalitpur at Gandhi Auditorium, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi.

Association of Food Scientists, Technologists and Engineers (AFSTE), IET, BU and Department of Food Engg. & Technology, IET has organized an Event “FOOD TECHNOVISION” on 9th April,2022 (Saturday) in Department of Food Engineering and Technology, I.E.T., Bundelkhand University Jhansi.
The Celebration was initiated from Welcoming our FET Coordinator respected Dr. Ravi Kumar and AFSTE coordinator Dr. Shubhangi Nigam including all the faculty members Er. Anjali Srivastava, Er. Smita Shankhwar and Er. Shraddha Tripathi of our department.
The event was started by the president of AFSTE Mr. Mayur Kant Singh. He has briefed about AFSTE association.
After that Addressing was done by FET Coordinator Dr. Ravi Kumar.
Then the Coordinator of AFSTE Dr. Shubhangi Nigam addressed about the AFSTE and other cultural activities in our department.
Then we have proceeded towards our other programs.
A well-organized presentation was presented by Ms. Radhika Bhatia of 4th year on the topic “Food Engineering and Technology and its scope” in which she discussed about the Food Engineering and jobs profiles for the students of food engineering.
After that the second presentation was presented by Ms. Jasneet Kaur Arora of 2nd year and she discussed about the various instruments used in food industry and processing labs along with their working and uses.
An interaction session also took place during the event in which we have invited Er. Rahul Thakur of batch 2015-19 who has qualified GATE exam in 2019 and is currently pursing PHD from NIT Rourkela. He has given some important tips and tricks for the gate exam and recommended various books for preparation. He discussed about the do’s and don’ts of GATE exam.
QUIZ Competition was organized by AFSTE members -Mr. Mayur Kant Singh, Ms. Radhika Bhatia, Mr. Aditya Karn and Mr. Sunil Kumar Singh. In this quiz we have made four teams and each team consists of 5 members.
The prizes along with the certificates were provided for the winning teams by AFSTE.
The LOGO contest was also organized by Event Management Team in which many students took part and created a logo of AFSTE and presented during the event along with the details of logo creation.
As our program came to an end, we had invited Ms. Radhika Bhatia for the ‘Vote of Thanks’
