July 30, 2015 marks the one year anniversary of the passing of Dr. Kaushik, Founder of MHKWC. Students, Faculty, Staff, Family, and Friends remember him on this day for the tremendous work he has done to promote higher education. Dr. Kaushik achieved much success in his life, and he worked with all of his heart to give his success back to his community. Today, on the day of his passing, we honor his memory and his family misses him greatly.

It is with deep sorrow and regret we inform you that Dr. Surendra K. Kaushik passed away on Wednesday July 30, 2014 at the Mrs. Helena Kaushik Women's College in India with several family members by his side.

Dr. Kaushik’s absence will be felt by his students, his friends, his colleagues, and most deeply by his loving family. Our family is heartbroken by his departure, and will strive to honor his example.

Although his life and achievements carried him around the world, Dr. Kaushik never forgot where he called home. In 1993, he resolved to establish a college for women in his hometown of Malsisar, Rajasthan. Everybody wants their community to develop and improve; Dr. Kaushik made it happen in a dramatic and inspiring way. Dr. Kaushik saw Mrs. Helena Kaushik Women’s College to its 15th year. The Kaushik Family will continue his efforts at Mrs. Helena Kaushik Women's College.

Services in India will take place at Mrs. Helena Kaushik Women’s College as follows:

Family, foundation members, legislators, diplomats, colleagues and friends had a splendid party at the stunningly gorgeous Sleepy Hollow Country Club overlooking the Hudson River on Saturday, 6.14 and from Friday to Sunday at home with the Kaushiks, Steels, Gunns and Macklins
The actual birthday is on 6.21,2014.
