An Internship Awareness Program was conducted today in the Multipurpose Hall of P.I.G. Government College for Women, Jind for 4th Semester (UG) and 2nd Semester (PG) students.
The session was organized under the guidance of Principal Mr. Narender Dhull and in the presence of Internship Cell Coordinator Mr. Anoop Mor.
Dr. Mohit Rangi, Incharge Placement Cell, delivered an insightful lecture on internships under NEP 2020.
He elaborated on important timelines, potential organizations, and the evaluation pattern in detail.
The session aimed to acquaint students with the process, significance, and career prospects of internships.
Students actively participated and engaged in an interactive discussion to clarify their queries.

Self-Enumeration Census 2027 Awareness & Training Programme

Government College for Women, Jind organized a Self-Enumeration Census 2027 awareness and training programme on 18 April 2026 for the college staff and students.
Principal Sh. Narender Kumar Dhull presided over the session and stated “Accurate census data is vital for effective policy making and development. Every citizen must participate responsibly in this digital initiative.”
Dr. Sandeep Sharma, Master Trainer for Census 2027, conducted the session. He demonstrated the self-enumeration process through the official mobile app, explained the significance of correct information, and assured participants about data security and confidentiality.

*NCC UNIT GCW JIND CELEBRATES EARTH DAY BY SETTING UP WATER BOWLS FOR BIRDS*
*Jind, 23 April 2026*

The NCC Unit of Government College for Women, Jind, under 15 HR BN NCC, Jind, celebrated Earth Day on 23 April 2026 with an initiative to provide drinking water for birds during the summer season.

Principal Sh. Narender Kumar Dhull inaugurated the activity in the presence of Dr. Sandeep Sharma, CTO Priyanka, and Dr. Sonnal Jain. A total of 22 SW cadets participated in the drive and placed earthen bowls at various spots across the college campus.

Addressing the cadets, Principal Sh. Narender Kumar Dhull appreciated the NCC Unit’s initiative and stated that Caring for nature is true service to the nation. NCC cadets must lead by example in protecting our environment. He directed cadets to ensure regular cleaning and refilling of the bowls throughout the summer.

CTO Priyanka informed that a duty roster has been prepared to ensure that cadets clean and refill the bowls every day. Dr. Sandeep Sharma and Dr. Sonnal Jain appreciated the initiative and encouraged cadets to spread awareness about sustainable practices. The activity aimed to promote environment awareness.

*NCC UNIT GCW JIND CELEBRATES WORLD CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION DAY WITH SPECIAL LECTURE ON AI & GRASSROOTS INNOVATION*
*Jind, 21 April 2026*

The NCC Unit of Government College for Women, Jind, under 15 Hr Bn NCC, Jind, organised a special lecture-cum-discussion session on 21 April 2026 to celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Day. The event was organized by CTO Priyanka and Dr. Sonnal Jain.

The event was held in Room No. 105 at 1100 hrs on the theme _“Sanskar aur Samarthya: Innovation aur Vikas”_ – Values & Capability: Innovation & Development. Principal Sh. Narender Kumar Dhull graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

A total of 51 SW cadets participated in the programme. CTO conducted an awareness session on ‘Basic AI Usage for Cadets’, focusing on using AI as an assistant for NCC tasks, maintaining cyber hygiene, and ensuring responsible use. This was followed by an interactive case study discussion on the ‘Mitti Cool Fridge’, highlighting how values of discipline and selfless service can drive grassroots innovation.

In the concluding segment, cadets presented their own innovation ideas for the college. Principal Sh. Narender Kumar Dhull appreciated the creativity of the cadets and encouraged the two best ideas by awarding motivational books to the winners. He emphasised that _“Innovation tabhi vikas hai jab woh sabke liye ho”_ and encouraged cadets to link NCC’s core values with practical problem-solving for nation building.

The session successfully connected NCC’s ethos of _Sanskar_ and _Samarthya_ with modern tools like AI and indigenous innovations, inspiring cadets to think creatively for societal development.

राजकीय महिला महाविद्यालय, जींद में दिनांक 15 अप्रैल 2026 को विद्यार्थियों के शैक्षणिक सशक्तिकरण एवं उच्च शिक्षा के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाने के उद्देश्य से *पीएम विद्या लक्ष्मी योजना* पर एक विशेष व्याख्यान का आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन प्राचार्य श्री नरेंद्र कुमार के निर्देशन में स्कोलरशिप समिति के तत्वावधान में किया गया।
कार्यक्रम में मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में स्टेट बैंक ऑफ़ इंडिया ,डीआरडीए ब्रांच जींद के मैनेजर श्री संदीप कुमार ने विद्यार्थियों को संबोधित करते हुए *प्रधानमंत्री विद्यालक्ष्मी योजना* की विस्तृत जानकारी दी। उन्होंने बताया कि इस योजना के अंतर्गत छात्र-छात्राएं एक ही ऑनलाइन पोर्टल के माध्यम से विभिन्न बैंकों द्वारा उपलब्ध शिक्षा -ऋण योजनाओं की जानकारी प्राप्त कर सकते हैं तथा सरल प्रक्रिया के माध्यम से आवेदन कर सकते हैं। उन्होंने इस योजना के लिए आवश्यक दस्तावेज और आवेदन की प्रक्रिया , सरकारी सब्सिडी और विभिन्न बैंकों से ऋण की योजनाओं के विषय में विस्तार से बताया।
उन्होंने आगे कहा कि यह योजना आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्ग के विद्यार्थियों के लिए अत्यंत लाभकारी है, जिससे वे बिना किसी आर्थिक बाधा के उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।
इस अवसर पर महाविद्यालय के प्राचार्य श्री नरेंद्र कुमार ने विद्यार्थियों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि इस प्रकार के जागरूकता कार्यक्रम विद्यार्थियों के भविष्य निर्माण में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं और उन्हें आत्मनिर्भर बनने के लिए प्रेरित करते हैं।
कार्यक्रम में बड़ी संख्या में छात्राओं ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया तथा योजना से संबंधित प्रश्न पूछकर अपनी जिज्ञासाओं का समाधान प्राप्त किया।
अंत में स्कोलरशिप समिति प्रभारी सहायक प्रोफेसर डॉ. सुमन ने मुख्य वक्ता श्री संदीप कुमार एवं प्रतिभागियों के प्रति धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया। इस दौरान महाविद्यालय के स्कॉलरशिप समिति के सभी सदस्य उपस्थित रहे।

On 11 April 2026 Government College for Women, Jind organized a Poster Making Competition on the theme “Save Earth, Save Life” to celebrate Earth Day under the joint aegis of the Legal Cell and Youth Red Cross Club.The programme was presided over by the Principal, Sh. Narender Kumar. The event was conducted under the guidance of Legal Cell Incharge Dr. Partibha and Youth Red Cross Incharge Smt. Urmila Sharma.
In the competition, Ankita secured first position, Neetu stood second, and Dhanish secured third place. The event was judged by Sh. Jitender Kumar, Sh. Sandeep Sharma, and Dr. Amarjeet Kaur.
The programme concluded with prize distribution and a message to promote environmental awareness.
