K.M.Patel institute of Physiotherapy KM Patel Institute of Physiotherapy, a unit of the Charutar Arogya Mandal, was started in 1999. The institute also offers domiciliary services to patients.

It offers 30 seats for its four-and-a-half year Bachelor of Physical Therapy (BPT) course affiliated to the Sardar Patel University. The institute has been recognized by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP), which is the only official national body for Physiotherapists in India and a member of World Confederation for Physical Therapists (WCPT). The institute runs a full-fledged OPD wit

h modern highly sophisticated and state of the art equipment. It has computerized EMG / NCV equipment, which is a highly valuable tool in diagnosing the neurological problems and it serves for the population of entire Anand district. It also has a special OPD dedicated to the patients with neurological disabilities and has a highly modern whole body gym with professional care. The IP Department of the institute caters to the needs of in-patients who are admitted in Shree Krishna Hospital. Additionally patients are directly admitted under the institute, whenever, necessary. The institute also runs an Orthotic/prosthetic Clinic, effectively contributing to complete rehabilitation. The service of an occupational therapist are also available to those who require them. The institute also collaborates with other departments of the Pramukhswami Medical College & Shree Krishna Hospital in various research activities apart from conducting of its own. The institute has been granted permission to start Postgraduate course in physiotherapy (MPT) by Sardar Patel University. The students at the institute are actively involved in organizing events like physio week and Conference of the Physiotherapy Colleges Students of Gujarat. The services of the institute are also extended to the subcentres like Petlad. The faculty at the institute is continuously updated and participates regularly in various academic activities.
