"I'm 2015 pass-out, Joined Infosys 2015 Last year I got around 12k rank and this year it is 1876 . I need your suggestions regarding interview for ECS course. What I need to read for the Interview? What are the expectations from Professors and what sort of questions one can expect? "

Posting a Query by an applicant for ECS Course: "I got shortlisted for Embedded control and system interview on 10th may. Could you please give me some information about the interview? I am from CSE. Also I have seen that the previous year cutoffs are really high ~ 700+. But my score is 614. Do I stand any chance in the selection process? I need to know my chances because my interview date is clashing with IIT gandhinagar ."

Embedded Controls and Software is a interdisciplinary M.Tech Course in IIT Kgp which falls under ATDC(Advanced Technology Development Center). Students from following specialization can choose ECS:
1. Electronics and Tele/Communication
2. Electrical and/or Electronics
3. Instrumentation
4. Computer Science
The course structure consists of 4 semester. First 2 semesters is course work and last 2 sem is dedicated to project.
The benefit of choosing ECS lies in the liberty it provides you to carry forward the area one want to move in. :)
The first sem has 3 core subjects, 2 electives and 2 labs. 2nd Sem has all 1 core lab & 5 electives so one can customize according to his/her interests.
