Dr. Chandrakanta Banerjee has been awarded Prof. Navneetha Rao Best Teacher's award by the A. V. Rama Rao Research Foundation, which was founded by Prof A. V. Rama Rao. The event ceremony was conducted in IICT hyderabad on 5th September. Prof J. S. Yadav (ex-director of IICT, Secretary of this foundation) organized this ceremony. Prof. Uday Maitra of IISc won this award in 2005.

Prof. Navneetha Rao, an eminent physical chemist, was the Vice Chencellor of the Osmania university.

Dr. AV Rama Rao is the ex-director of IICT, Hyderabad, won Padmasree award in 1991, founded this organisation (AVRRF) in 1995.
