The two sisters are Anju Debbarma and Sharna Debbarma,Anju is the elder of the two.Their father had passed away and the mother had a second marriage and abandoned them to struggle. The elder sister recently passed matriculation with good marks and she is the one earning for the two of them. While the younger sister is too young to help her sister, she is studying in class VI.

“I teach tuitions to small kids.It is our only source of income and with whatever little amount I get from there we have to cover all our expenses including ration, education, etc.” Anju spoke to a media person. “We don’t have a proper latrine also and at times we don’t even have clean drinking water.” she added.Anju urged people and Bubagra to help their condition.

Their house is also torn and worn and just one wind storm away from shattering.According to what the elder sister said, before every storm they have to abandon their house and take shelter elsewhere because of the fear that storm might break their house and they can get caught inside.

Replying to the question of reporter who asked whether they are not afraid to sleep in their house at night, the elder sister replied “We are helpless and bound by circumstances. This is what we have and there is no other option than to sleep here even though we are scared."

The TTAADC on Thursday (25-08-2022) via a press release informs the Hon'ble Chairman calls on the Kaunsil for a session in the coming month on September 12, 2022. Chairman Jagadish Debbarma conveyed the message through Secretary Keshab Debbarma, who writes the session will commence from 11 a.m. on the said date.

It is still unclear which issues are going to be discussed in the fall council. However it is likely to bring up discussions on the impending Village Council Election, permit & license Issues on business operating its jurisdiction areas, educational action plan and activities to be taken up by the TTAADC government for the winter months.

Citizens of TTAADC are now curious if TTAADC (Establishment of Town Committee) Act, 2016 will be debated upon as it saw no budget allocation till now. The Kaunsil (Council) is yet to bring the act into action through which selected Special Economic Zones like Gandatwisa, Mandwi, Killa, Khumulwng, Takarjala, Borakha, Abhicharan, Jampuijala, Hezamara, Lefunga and Barkathal TTAADC areas will have town committee like municipalities.

The TTAADC Town Committe Act passed by the state cabinet in 2020 after CPIM government initiated an incomplete draft in 2016. The act for establishing urban bodies went through several revision on being handed to the IPFT-BJP government and was finally finalised in 2020 by a committee headed by Revenue Minister N.C. Debbarma. However, there is a silence over the act as it sees no fund allocation while it's official copy is still kept hidden from public domain.

The session on September 12 will also see a change like the appointment of new leader of opposition as the former Chief Whip of BJP Hongsha Kumar Tripura joined TIPRA. The session schedule is still to be out on how many days it will proceed.
