Science College, Kokrajhar Science College, Kokrajhar of Assam, Dispur. It came into existence with the active co-operation and selfless dedication of the people of Kokrajhar town.

Science College, Kokrajhar was established in the Year 1995, received recognization of UGC under section 2 (f) and 12 (B) of UGC act 1956, vide letter no: 8-381/2005 (cpp1) (Visit : www.ugc.ac.in) and Education department Govt. The college was started at the temporary venue, Rashtrabhasa Vidyapith school, Kokrajhar. On 26th July 1996, Mr. Rajendra Kumar Mushahary, the then state minister WPT and B.C. , Assam laid the foundation stone of the existing college building

Observation of World Environment Day, 2026: Department of Botany in collaboration with Eco Club, Science College, Kokrajhar successfully observed World Environment Day-2025 on 5th June, 2026.

100 Saplings received for observation of WED-2026 launched by MoEFCC under EEP, Govt. of India, implemented by ASTEC, Govt. of Assam. Thankful to the office of the DFO (Social Forestry), Kokrajhar.

The Saplings were distributed for planation amd adoption of the same under the “एक पेड़ माँ के नाम अभियान”

Eco Club of Science College, Kokrajhar has been awarded the Best Eco Club (2nd position) in Assam for the session 2025-26, in recognition of its outstanding environmental initiatives and contributions toward Environmental Education Programmes launched by MoEFCC, Govt. of India and implemented by Assam Science Technology and Environment Council (ASTEC), Science & Technology Department, Govt. of Assam.

The Award was presented during the State Level observation of World Environment Day, 2026 at Science City, Guwahati, Assam on 5th June, 2026.
