The declaration of Indian independence was done for the first time on 26th Jan 1930 at Lahore where the first hoisting of the Indian national flag was also done. The Indians declared themselves independent from Britain. It was this date which was later adopted as the republic day on 1950. Let us try to respect to the old code of being free and living in diversity. Happy republic day!!
