NUJS Centre for Financial, Regulatory, and Governance Studies (CFRGS) is pleased to announce that the National Evaluative Conference on GST@5 is being hosted at the premises of NUJS in collaboration with the All India Federation of Tax Practitioners (AIFTP). The conference will be a 3-day event organised from the 20th to the 22nd of January 2023. The theme of this year's conference is "Impact of GST on Centre-State Fiscal Relations and the Structure and Working of the GST Law". The forum will have multiple panel discussions and plenary sessions across three days. It will be graced by eminent dignitaries, including High Court Judges, IAS/IPS Officers, Government officials, renowned academicians, chartered accountants, businesspeople, Senior Advocates etc.
The conference aims to foster discourse in the field of Tax Law from an interdisciplinary approach and to deliberate on how the current tax regime with the introduction of GST has changed the tax scenario in India. The conference also aims to discuss how the fiscal relations between the centre and the states have been affected and what is the way forward.
We are inviting applications for participation in the Conference.
Participants get the opportunity to attend and interact with our eminent guests. The registration includes all the meals on the days of the conference. The participants, however, need to arrange for their accommodation and travel.
Furthermore, a book shall be published post the conference consisting of papers written by our esteemed guests. We are also inviting papers for the same. There is no charge involved in sending your paper for consideration. Please use the OSCOLA style for your paper.
